they are not ball bearing hinges. they are the old type crude ones.. disappointing. been conned.

Good for the money
Nice build quality for the price. Only annoying thing is the oil used on them which is either very old and tacky or just plain cheap so they stick a bit. Wipe down with some degreaser and a few drops of 3 in 1 and they're good to go.

Lovey smooth squeak-free hinges
Used 2 pairs of these to hang 2 pine doors (3 hungers per door) and they are so much better that the cheaper non-ball type hinges. The door movement is so smooth and I suspect won't develop the tell tale squeezing of cheaper hinges.
