Does what it says on the tin
This is a sturdily-made little thing. When the charger for my dash-cam broke, I tried to just power it from my modern car's USB socket, but unfortunately the car kept trying to connect to the camera, so it wouldn't record. Using this device instantly allowed my camera to work. Also, it used to be annoying trying to charge my phone from the car, as again, the car would try to connect to it. This little device also stopped that problem too. I also use it to charge my phone from my work PC without the PC attempting to connect to it. This is particularly important, as my PC at work runs Windows, and I do not allow any of my personal devices to run or connect directly to anything running proprietary software. It will also be useful if I ever need to charge a device from a public charging point, as I can then be certain that even in the event of it being tampered-with, my phone is safe from any kind of data connection.

If you need it, its priceless
Ford try to be helpful. In the glove box of my Mondy they have a USB socket, but if you plug in an iPhone lead to charge the phone, the car audio treats the phone as an iPod/USB audio device and plays music out. That's all fine until you get a phone call, when it gets confused (as it doesn't pass on calls over bluetooth, as it's playing out from a USB-connected device). Nice one, Ford. This little beauty solves that problem completely. It allows the phoone to charge, while the car audio doesn't "see" the iPhone as an audio source, so allowing it to connect over bluetooth (as the idiots at Ford should have done in the first place).Result! Plugging this tiny device in line with the phone charger cable solves Ford's genius audio design fault. It's Worth its weight in good stuff.

Good value
Good value, as it provides extra security when charging mobile from public usb ports at reasonable cost.

Cuts off the data lines and that's about it
This device seems to fulfil about half of its stated purpose - it cuts off the data lines from the charging port. It's supposed to send out fast charging signals to the device you plug into it, but it doesn't seem to do that, I only ever get standard charging through this. But that's good enough for most purposes - I can always connect to a trusted fast charger at home.

Great adapter to stop signal problems.
Great and quality usb power adapter to stop hackers and great for just powering a device only

USB power without the data feed exposure to hacking by other devices on the circuit.
This is an excellent device for using to power your phone or other USB devices when you are not 100% sure of the integrity of the USB port you are using - be it in Hotels, Trains, Buses Aircraft, AirBnB or wherever. Naturally keep a close watch on charging, not having the data feed it will not charge with fast chargers correctly, and smart charges will not get a full battery signal to shut off the charging power when the battery is full.

Works really well but feels a bit delicate
This charges my Sony Xperia XZ1 really well, even from USB ports (such as on my work laptop) which don't allow data transfer. However, when it's plugged in (e.g. to a laptop) and has a charging cable plugged into it, it just feels a bit flimsy and easily knocked off.
