Buggy software and/or hardware
And yet another update. I started all over again, removing the devices, uninstalling/reinstalling, yada yada yada, and now I am getting audible alerts. Hope I don't have to do tis every few weeks...This is a second update. My previous 5 star was for the support that I received. I'm downgrading to 3 stars. Suddenly, none of my ring devices ( 2 indoor cameras and a battery doorbell ) are providing ANY audible alerts. This is SOOOOO frustrating. I've tried all of the following and NOTHING helps. 1. Cleared both cache and data in the app, result NO GOOD. 2. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, result NO GOOD. 3. Went thru the setup process with each device, result NO GOOD. I know the devices can speak, because they did so during the setup process. So why do I get not audible alerts from either the device or my Galaxy S25 plus ??? Also, all notifications are set properly on my phone. This is an update. I got to work with the Ring support folks over the phone. Now that's customer service! Support typically consists of trading emails back and forth with someone, but Ring apparently provides an actual human person to speak with. That's very commendable. Nice job Ring.Overall, I think it's a nice camera for the price. But my problem comes when creating a schedule for the camera to NOT send notification alerts. The interface shows no alerts will be sent, but yet I am still getting alerts. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, tried clearing the app cache, tried rebooting the device, yet nothing corrects the problem. When researching this, it appears that this has been going on for YEARS, and Ring is not addressing the issue ! Wow, now that's great customer service. Without this alerting issue, I would give it 6 stars.....I just noticed that while the Alert status on my phone shows alerts are DISABLED, the Alerts status on the web site shows Alerts are ENABLED.

Sensitive Motion Recording
I bought these indoor Ring security cameras to replace my Blink indoor mini cameras, because my home alarm and doorbell are all Ring devices.Pros: Setup was simple (pairing), configuration was easy (more options than the Blink cameras), form factor is nice, image quality is excellent, WiFi connectivity is excellent.Cons: Advertised as being able to ceiling mount and rotate the display, that is where the issue started. I bought 6 cameras, two have to be mounted upside down. I switched the “rotate” toggle in the app settings per the instructions and the display remains upside down. No matter what I tried, I could not get the image to display correctly. I finally reached out to the Ring Tech Support and they had to escalate a ticket to their Teir 2 or 3 support techs to fix. They ended up fixing it within hours by doing something on the backend. My concern is that this should not be an issue.Other than that, these are great little cameras. On par with the Blink cameras, but way more sensitive to motion, even after dialing the sensitivity down.

Compact Security with Stunning Clarity – The Perfect Indoor Cam!
I recently added the Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) to my home security setup, and it has quickly become an essential part of keeping an eye on things inside the house. With 1080p HD video, color night vision, and the latest in 2023 tech upgrades, this compact cam packs a serious punch. From installation to everyday use, it’s been a top-notch choice for reliable indoor surveillance!Easy Setup in MinutesRight out of the box, this camera was incredibly easy to set up. With step-by-step instructions through the Ring app, I had it up and running in under 10 minutes. The camera is small and sleek, so it’s easy to place on a shelf, countertop, or even mount on the wall. Plus, it blends seamlessly into any room without being intrusive, which I really appreciate.Clear, High-Quality Video & Color Night VisionThe 1080p HD video quality is outstanding, delivering crystal-clear images both day and night. What really stands out, though, is the color night vision. Even in low-light conditions, the Ring Indoor Cam provides vibrant, detailed images that let me see everything in full color, adding an extra layer of detail that’s incredibly useful for identifying any activity. I’ve even been able to zoom in and spot small details without losing clarity.Instant Alerts & Two-Way AudioThe real-time alerts are fast and accurate. Any time the camera detects motion, I get an instant notification, allowing me to check in right away. This is perfect for monitoring the house while I’m at work or out for errands. The two-way audio is a great feature as well; it’s clear and allows me to communicate easily with anyone in the room, whether it’s checking in on the kids, saying hi to the pets, or even startling an intruder if necessary. It’s very responsive, and the audio quality is impressive for such a compact device.Flexible Privacy & Customizable FeaturesRing has done a great job making privacy a priority with this camera. I can set up privacy zones to block out specific areas in the room from view, ensuring that I only monitor the spaces I need. There are also customizable motion zones, which is helpful in cutting down on unnecessary alerts, like if I want to avoid detecting movement in a specific part of the room. This feature has made it super adaptable to my home’s unique layout.Works Seamlessly with the Ring EcosystemIf you already have Ring devices, this camera integrates seamlessly. I was able to link it with my Ring doorbell and outdoor cameras, managing everything from one app. The live view feature is also incredibly smooth and makes it easy to check in anytime from my phone, giving me peace of mind wherever I am.Subscription for Added Security BenefitsWhile the Ring Indoor Cam offers plenty of functionality out of the box, I opted for the Ring Protect subscription, which has been a valuable add-on. With it, I can store and review video history, which has already come in handy a few times. The subscription is affordable, and it gives me that extra sense of security by allowing me to look back at footage if needed. In summary, the Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their indoor security setup. With outstanding video quality, instant alerts, easy setup, and customizable privacy options, it’s ideal for monitoring any room in the house. Whether you’re a Ring ecosystem user or new to smart security, this camera offers powerful features in a small, budget-friendly package. Highly recommended for anyone looking to keep an eye on their home with minimal hassle!

Amazing, love!
So far amazing product. I use this when we are away from the house for an extended time. Also currently we are having work done to our house. We got this initially to make sure no other people were coming into the house other than the workers but when I’m bored I’ll check in from my phone to see what the workers are up to.Today I forgot something at home that I needed to have for work and my significant other was not answering his phone. I talked through the ring camera and now I have said item. Kinda amazing! So far I’m loving it.Also getting notification when there is movement in the house is great.I know when the workers are in my house!Love!
