Pyramid Trek 50 Insect/Mosquito Repellent DEET Spray (2 Bottles, 60ml)

Exactly what we wanted and delivered on time

I bought Pyramid Trek 50 Insect/Mosquito Repellent DEET Spray (2 Bottles, 60ml). Used one of the bottles with moderate use on 2 adults for 4 days and intensive use on 2 days. I bought it for a travel to Costa Rica where we alternated beach and jungle days. Huge difference on a day I didn't used vs the following day with use on the same location (on mosquito bites I got! 10 vs none). In the past I used the 55 DEET product (now discontinued) with good results in Thailand. Reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because I get a stinging sensation first minute after application, and need to be cautious to spray at distance on sensitive skin. Would buy again despite that.

Purchased as I understood it was the same as the old Repel 100 that I used in the past. Have used it once already and it seems to be pretty much the same, although I suspect it may not contain as much DEET as the original formula. Since using, I have not been bitten again even after taking showers.

I took this on a 6 month round the world trip with me and used it in Vietnam & Cambodia. It comes out as a very thick layer of liquid on your skin and doesn't dry instantly. I was still getting bites while wearing but granted I may have given up waiting for it to dry fully. More importantly, it burns when you spray it on. A mild, heat stinging burn (in the deep heat range) but for that reason I give this a 1 star. There's much better products on the market.
