Glendan Dog & Cat Grooming Brush - Slicker Shedding Tool (Blue)

So first off, I did not buy this to brush a pet. I bought it to try to clean my fur-lined boots and slippers because they were getting so matted up I didn't even want to put my feet in them anymore. These did a FANTASTIC job. My boots and slippers feel like new again, and look wonderful. The boots are actual sheepskin and responded particularly well to the brushing. The slippers are faux fur but still had great results.I'm attaching a photo showing my brushed (right) vs. non-brushed (left) slippers. I think you'll agree the difference is dramatic.The size of this brush is very small. That's why I bought it. I needed something that could fit into shoes, as some of my insoles are not removable. This absolutely fits the bill. It's also hugely helpful that you can rotate the head, so that I could brush in the correct direction from any angle.I do have to admit, I destroyed this brush within one weekend (just the pins, everything else is fine), HOWEVER, that is really down to how bad my shoes were. The pins do bend out of shape pretty easily, and I was being pretty aggressive. I very much hope no one brushes their pet that hard!I immediately ordered a second brush for upkeep. It had honestly not occurred to me before now that there was anything to be done for furry items other than toss them out once they got too gross. Now that I know I can brush them, I won't be letting them get so bad again, so I think the new brush should hold up well.

Finally a brush the cat will tolerate. The cat is long haired and adopted as an adult cat. We think it had never been used to brushing. Ordered several types of brushes. Cat wouldn't allow any no matter how gentle. Would nip at the brush before it even touched the fur.Well finally this one works. Maybe it is the fine bristles. Maybe it's the smaller size, less intimidating being raised near the animal. The cat still doesn't exactly luxuriate in the brushing yet. But allows it, which is a huge turning point.Brush is very easy to remove hair, it's well made with nice materials, and the fur lifts out very easily. The brush seems durable and has no toxic plastic or chemical odors to it. It comes in pink or blue which is nice. Nothing bad to say about this brush! If you have a small dog or a long haired cat which doesn't like brushing, or distrust brushes coming near it, maybe try this brush.I like that the bristles are fine enough to get through long fur without tangling. The cat has very fine textured long fur and this goes through it well. Any snarls should still be held onto at the root and brush gently used.

This brush works great on my poodle who is 15 lbs. She loves me to brush her with it and I love the way the handle can be turned so it is easier for my older mother to brush her too.

Brush is marginal. Smaller than I thought. It's a good brush for my first time out of the dog brush gate. No directions on back of package to indicate which way to comb hair. I observed the metal bristles appear to bend in one direction. Do I comb in a particular fashion in accordance with the bend of the bristles? No directions to train me. Also it is not easy to clean the metal bristles of my pomeranians fur. My Poms fur is very fine and soft. I have seen brushes with a platform that pushes the hair forward to clean out hair/fur. My next brush purchase will include this convenient feature. Also the handle swivels which is a cool feature if I knew what it is used for. Again, no direction on the package Or in a leaflet to help educate the consumer. It is cute, the size is good for my small hands and my small pomeranian. I love the color too. The metal bristles are very very sharp and I impaired the nail bed and quick of my finger. There is no protective cover to guard it when it is not in use. You must keep the original package which is bulky and inconvenient. My pomeranian is the sunshine of my life, Lil Miss. Fifi.AKA Little Miss cant be wrong!

The brush arrived today, right on schedule. Packaged in a bubble envelope, retail packaging. It was a bit smaller than I realized but actually it is the right size for up to a medium/big medium dog.When you swivel it to the different positions it has a really solid feel. It "clicks" into each position and is very solid in each one. Has a good feel in the hand with a group that is rubber covered & comfortable.I have a13 well old Australian Sheppard pup & a 7 year old long haired Chihuahua. It works well on both of them & apparently is eat on their skin because nobody tried to bite me! 😘🐸The bristles are a firm, fine wire that the end of which are tipped with, for lack of a better word, a little plastic or silicon top. The picture with the ball of undercoat came off the pup in about 90 seconds of brushing. Used my thumb & index fingers, squeezed across the bristles in a pinch about 5 times and the majority of the hair was out.So for the price I don't think you can go wrong with this brush. Seems agreement with very good workmanship.If it should not "wear" as well as it seems to be able to, I'll update this review.

My shih tzu Gidgette is not a huge fan of getting groomed. Fun face about shih tzus, they have hair, not fur so they requires lots of grooming. She has a long top knot and tail. She especially hates brushing. I usually use a comb on her top knot and tail and she will allow me to do that, but oh goodness, one hair too close to her ears and all bets are off! I try very hard to brush her every day so that when her professional groomer comes she doesnt have to deal with any matts and this brush has made doing that so much easier! Gidgette allows me to brush her ears with this brush. I love that the ends have tips on it so not to scratch her skin, the bristles are fine and flexible and work really well on smoothing her hair. It does work on matts as well but it will take you a bit longer. I feel like if you normally keep up on normal grooming then this is really the perfect brush! Gidgette approved!
