Better of the two Michaels
For anyone wanting a definitive Michael Myers figure from Mezco, I would highly recommend this version over the other unless you already have it. While every Michael Myers costume is a bit different across the wide array of movies, you could still fudge this one into a Halloween 1 or 2 display as the only noticeable difference between them is the color of Michael’s mechanics uniform and the six bullet holes he received at the end of the first movie. The proportions and articulation are far and away a massive improvement over the first release. Michael’s outfit also has a lot less of a “doll” aesthetic as the original had. This is not to say the original is a bad figure, but it is showing it’s age in some ways. The only area that the original really compares is the accessories. Each figure comes with movie accurate accessories but the ghost costume is something that makes the original a bit more unique. The tombstone is something you can acquire more easily from the neca version. The same can be said of this one’s accessories. Both pumpkins look great with the flickering LEDs turned on, but it is kind of a pain to have to switch them on and off. You do get Michael’s scalpel, hammer, and serrated knife as well as just about every hand you could imagine Michael making. While Michael isn’t exactly Jason Vorhees when it comes to his weapon selection in the movie, some additional pieces may have fit in nicely such as the flames from the neca version or a gurney. The Ben Tramer head is a nice addition though. By far the best reason to get this over the original is the price. If you have prime shipping, getting this for $70 or less is a pretty good deal, especially when compared to how much the original goes for.

Fantastic figure
I'm usually unlucky when it comes to Mezco's QC, but this figure was the exception. All the accessories were there, the paint was on point, and the joints on the figure moved beautifully.No complaints whatsoever.
