Meat slicer Stainless Steel Jerky Maker Cutting Board With 10-Inch Professional Slicing and Carving Knife

It's Great. It serves its intended purpose.However as other have stated, the machining edges of the plate(s) are sharp, not razor sharp, but enough to cut you (as I have done, and others have mentioned) if you're not careful. Particularly during assembly/disassembly/and cleaningI still give it 5 stars however. Could have been a little cheaper but whatever. It works

I bought this for slicing meat to 1/8" for making jerky. It did do its job for sure. Instructions were clear enough. There are plenty of small pieces to manage but assembly isn't hard, just tedious. I washed and then assembled and tried a few different thicknesses to get to what I wanted. The knife was good and sharp on the first use but seemed to lose its edge a bit faster than I would have expected based on other reviews. Eventually, I stashed the little baggy of small parts after a washup and still haven't located them. I substituted some standard bolts and used washers for spacers and hex nuts to tighten. Still worked, but is better with the hardware they send, so be careful! I bought this because I was avoiding springing for an electric slicer, but I think I am ready to spring for the extra cost. Will keep this as a back up though.

If you’re thinking of getting this machine, don’t waste time, just go ahead and get it now. I’ve just finished making a 5.2 lbs. Beef Round into 1/4” Beef Jerky with good results and little difficulty. So my $30 beef converted into $60 jerky on first use. The 10” knife is good, and the cutting board is sized perfectly for the beef round at the supermarket. The hand protector is provided, but I prefer not using it because I prefer to be careful when using a sharp knife. Recommend !!

I guess it’s got rough edges or something because I cleaned it for the first time and when I picked it up, it sliced me. It also happened with my boyfriend. But it caused me to bleed. But other than that, the blade is sharp, long, and very easy to use. It worked great but it sliced both of us so, gotta wear gloves next time.

Honestly haven't used it yet but it seems very sturdy and nice. I ordered per recommendation from one of my jerky groups on FB. Was very easy to clean and is very easy to adjust the thickness of the slices. The knife that comes with it is also super nice. So why the 3 stars? While this thing is awesome the metal pieces were not finished. The undersides and such need to be cleaned up and deburred cause it is stupid sharp. Within seconds of removing the protective film the body sliced my hand and then one of the metal pieces cut my finger almost to the bone on a knuckle.

We have used this slicer for fruit and jerky. Amazing product. The knife is very sharp, glides right through the meat with ease. Easy to add spacers and disassemble for cleaning. I recieved the stainless steel hand guard. We will be using next week to slice some meat. By trying it on my hand I can already tell this is going to make me feel a lot more comfortable while slicing. It’s good quality and adjustable around the finger.

I bought this to slice jerky. The device itself is lowish quality BUT it does do the job and there is nothing else out there that seems to compare to it other than an electric slicer (which I am not going to buy).Be careful when assembling or handling this thing because all of the metal edges are razer sharp.Assembly was more difficult than it should have been mainly because the metal edges being the sharpest edges I have ever seen.The included knife is OK. The blade is sharp though the handle is misshappen wherein the composite grip doesn't lay flush against the tang and so it feels a little odd in the hand but again, does the job.I would recommend this kit for anyone making jerky though I wish that it was higher quality because I would pay for it.

It is so much faster and easier to slice thin strips of meat with this as opposed to by hand. The included knife is pretty sharp. A con is that the edges of the metal cutting board are kind of sharp, and I slightly cut my finger on it, but if I'm careful, I don't think it'll be a big issue. There are a lot of little pieces to keep track of when you take it apart to clean, so just be careful not to lose any.
