All-in-one care for your tank!
The media could not be loaded. I have two of these! One in my 20gal and one in my 10 gal!To fit in my 10 gal tank, I had to separate the middle section and remove it, only using 1 of the 2 sections. I love that you can break it up!Air pump for aeration, wave-maker for current, sponge for mechanical filtration, and biomedia for bio filtration, all in one? Yes please! It's very adjustable, up, down, left, right, water flow, and air flow are both separately adjustable. It's whisper quiet and can be fully submerged. My fish love the current and my loaches are more active. The sponge filter is not exactly what I was hoping for. I was hoping they would use a really fine sponge to filter really tiny debris out. The coarse big sponges are okay, but it would be better if they were fine to properly clear the water.A fine sponge will also last a lifetime, and never need to be changed. Just squeezed out to clean it.It made my water crystal clear!I drained a little of my tank into a bucket, submerged this, swished around the biomedia and sponges, and primed it. Then I let it drain, and put it in my main tank, and dumped the water in the toilet. This is to drain any leftover chemicals from the manufacturing process. It's rarely needed, but better safe than sorry!I then ran this with my old filter for 2 weeks to let the bacteria establish before I remove the old filter.I love that the core is just biomedia and sponge filters, because you just have to squeeze them out into a little bit of tank water and nothing else is needed! It's a little pricey for a filter like this, sure, but it's cheaper than also getting an air pump and a wave maker as well. This makes a LOT of current.I returned it to 5 stars. I put my sheet polishing filter wrapped around and it worked well. I like the design and it even fit in my 10 gal fine! I wish the blue plastic pieces were also black, to blend in.I had to replace the air line tubing, and the adjustment knob. The ones it comes with are not good at all, and the line kinks.

Quiet and working great for a tall 6-gal tank
The media could not be loaded. Even though this is probably overkill for a Koller 6 gallon tank, I’m keeping a couple of fast growing 3 inch goldfish that were overwhelming the originally provided 10 gallon capacity internal filter, which required filter changes every day in order to keep up with the amount of effluent they were producing. Setup was very easy, and I ended up using Seachem Matrix 55 biomass pumice stone media since it has superior surface area compared with the provided clay balls, but that is a personal preference. The Atlantis Aqua runs really silently, and I only need to use it at its lowest volume to maintain a healthy water flow through the tank. Water clarity has improved measurably within the first two hours of the filter in this environment love the modular design of the unit, and its ability to flexibly fit the needs of a number of different tank sizes. Replacement parts are readily available for all the components which is an added plus.

I really like these aquarium pumps.
I really like these aquarium pumps. Tried several others over the past few years and some were better than others for sure. This one has reusable sponge filters which are pretty easy to clean once you get the hang of it. They also can be adjusted to serve as aerators for your tank. They come with two filtering chambers. If you want to use one in a smaller five or ten gallon tank, all you have to do is remove one of the chambers and then adjust the water output flow for the smaller tank. It's a clever idea. I have been running them for nearly six months. But I recently had an issue and had a pump unit fail. Now I am wondering if and where I can buy another pump unit or do I have to buy a complete kit again. Everything that I have left is in fine condition. I really only need a pump.Update:I was able to find the address for getting support for your Atlantis Aqua pumps. The email address is:contact@atlantisaqua.co.ukMake sure that you register your pump purchase when you get it from Amazon. The instructions are in the pamphlet that comes with the pump. The fellows at Atlantis were great. They quickly responded to me. I told them what had happened and asked to buy another pump head. They gave me some suggestion to try to make sure that the pump had failed. It had. Then they expressed their sympathy because of the failure and they refunded my money back to me through Amazon. The service was great! My response to their great customer service? This review and ordered another pump assembly to replace the failed one.I also asked them about getting parts and they explained that the pumps are designed to last for years and that they were unable to supply individual parts for them at this time. I even got a response from Sam, the founder of Atlantis Aqua. That really made my day.Having a good product and backing it up with good customer support and service is everything in today's marketplace. I think Atlantis Aqua has both.

Perfect size for any tank
This cleared up cloudy water overnight. Quiet filter, stays fully submerged. Totally worth the price over and over. Use it solo or an addition to your other filters. Suction cups hold it sturdy and it is a sleek black look. Easily hidden by a plant or decoratio .

Terrible filter
Does not filter well, your tank won't have very clear water. Product stopped working after one month of use, I didn't see that it wasn't filtering for a few days and my tank turned green and almost killed my fish due to high ammonia.

The absolute best
This is the best filter I've ever purchased. I have it in my 75 gallon tank. Works beautifully. Easy to assemble. Easy to clean. No need to buy new filters. I'm in love.

Filter
So after 3 days of using, my water was turning yellow. Supposed to be clear with this filter. It is quiet, and I like the fact that it can be adjusted to tank size. For a cheap filter, it is what it is. I dont plan on using it long term.

So far works great.
Easy to put together and works very well.I would not recommend it for large aquariums over 50 gallons or for dirty fish like goldfish because the amount of mesh filter is pretty small really so would need constant cleaning.

Works great
Easy to set up. Keeps water clean & clear. I like not having a separate aerator, one less device to worry about. I find a couple of the component parts a bit difficult to separate from each other but that may be my weak fingers. I also like that it's in the aquarium & not hanging on the back. Makes it quieter. My final evaluation, I like it!
