Good Quality, better than cheap, basic filter from local store.
This is a good quality item. I had bought a cheaper filter from a local store and this one was far and away a better value. The fact that it came with the plastic cover was the seller for me because my truck did not have the open port for the filter, it had to be cut out, and that piece needed to be inserted after the filter was put in. Overall, this was a great value and served its purpose for me. Fit my 2012 RAM 1500 well.

A pain to install
The filters works and fits great! The pain in the a** is the install if your truck wasn’t originally equipped with one.

Worth the money
Everything fits perfectly. Filter seems to be decently made. Would recommend this product

Cabin Air Filter
This filter was of very high quality and the activated charcoal was an added bonus. It fit perfectly into the opening in my RAM 1500. After installation, which my truck didn’t have one, ( I had to cut the opening and add a door which came with the filter) it seemed like the filter emitted an odor that quickly disappeared after running the a/c for a short time. All in all, I’m happy with the purchase.

Cover won't clip on
Well, finally got around to installing this cabin filter. Filter went in fine, but the cover doesn't clip on securely. One side will clip, but the other won't latch. Pushing it on as hard as possible, it will seat all the way but just sits there loosely. Seems like the clips are weak. I put a couple pieces of duct tape on it for now until i replace the filter. Then I'll order a whole new kit of a different brand.

Everything you need for peace of mind
KPALAG Upgraded Activated Carbon Cabin Air Filter & Filter Access Door for my 2014 RAM 1500 5.7L Hemi Tradesman, 40,000 miles.I wanted to change the cabin filter in my RAM and discovered it didn't have one! Looking it to that I discovered some RAMs do, most don't. Want to change the filter? Your gonna' have to buy one first and you'll also need to perform surgery on the ducting and buy a cover after your done.MOPAR sells the filter for about $25. MOPAR sells the cover too, also for about $25. Yeah, Amazon to the rescue! So to make the surgical procedure easier, I removed the upper glove "box", the one that's just a shelf in the dash and right above the real glove box. Its held into the dash with simple clips. All I had to do was remove 1 hex head screw under the dash on the left side of the glove box, then pull the box-tray out. This made it so, so, much easier to cut the duct.So on these RAMs its like the robot forgot to cut the panel out where the filter goes and of course, quality control was on smoke break. The plastic duct work has lines, markings where the filter goes but it's solid. Even shows the cut-out lines for the notches on the cover that will help hold it in place. So I got my box cutter and a propane torch to heat the blade and just cut along the lines. It wasn't like cutting butter but, it was still stupid simple. More stupid is, that I had to go thru the process to begin with. Now let me tell ya' that I also replaced the cabin filter in my 2015 Durango with 50,000 miles on it. The filter was a little discolored on the top; there were a few dry leaves, some dust, part of a small acorn but, the underside was clean. My point is, unless you are traveling with dogs or cats, or driving in a really dusty environment like in the West Texas Town of Laredo, these filters don't need changing all that often. I' probably won't even look at them for another 25,000 miles. In the meantime though, I know they're good. I have peace of mind.

“Almost” fits
The cover plate does not fit a 2015 Ram 2500, in the picture you can see. I had one side of the cover plate in place and trying to get the other side to “click” into place and you can see the mark and how far off the cover is from fitting correctly. The filter seems to fit fine. It’s a struggle to get it into place, but it does work.
