Nice set to have.
These Salade brand gland-nut wrench pins fit my gland-nut wrench fine. When I originally got the wrench, one pair of pins was duplicates, leaving me, in essence, short one size. I've been lucky that I haven't needed that size, but when I saw this Salade set I figured I'd better order them before Murphy's Law got me.The set includes 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch, and 0.40-inch. They are well machined, and even though I could make them myself, I can't do it as economically, when you consider machining and heat treating.

Got these as a replecement/spare set of pins for my Gland Nut Wrench.
Not sure if I lost one of my pins for the Gland Nut Wrench I have or if it grew legs and walked away.Either way it went missing.Naturally, I needed to replace it and got lucky finding these replacement pins. Now I'm good to go and even have some spare pins now. That's a good thing.Fit and finish on these is the same as the ones that came with the wrench - very good.Great deal on these pins and I'm glad that I got them. Easy to recommend.

Perfect fit for Polerden Gland Nut Wrench
Product Reviewed: Salade 1/4 inch 5/16 inch 2/5 inch Pins,2 for Each Size,Special Gland Nut Wrench for $12TL;DR; M10 thread perfect fit; somewhat odd size of turned down portionWe do occasional hydraulic repairs and these are handy for those and similar nuts.Pretty basic product. These are just M10 Socket Head Cap Screws (SHCS) with a turned down portion at the end. They thread into the Polerden Gland Nut Wrench directly. The sizes are a bit odd and don’t really match the description. Based on digital calipers here’s what we got:0.22750.22500.30650.30550.15050.1510TBD if this affects performance or not but neither is it a huge deal other than the advertised dimensions don’t really match.I can’t complain much but I have to knock off one point on size execution. I’d expect maybe 1-5 thou small not 20 or 50 thousands. How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

class 12.9 rated pins with - at least - application for a Gland Nut Wrench
these pins are essentially machined M12-1.75 x 30mm Socket Head Cap screws, class 12.9 rating, coated in Thermal Black Oxide ... these pins are compatible with e.g., the "P Polerden Heavy Gland Nut Wrench" (which came with 5/16" & 3/8" pins - but NOT 1/4" pins).

These were a great addition to my spanner wrench!
Every hydraulics shop needs this set up. The hardened steel that these are made of give you a LOT of confidence to really torque down to loosen the most stubborn rod end gland packing. I use it a lot more than just hydraulic cylinders. I use this on pumps as well.

A surprise size included!
These pins seem to be made of a DECENT quality steel, meaning they should do the job for the non-commercial DIYers like us. It's too bad that this decent steel is manufactured into loose-fitting pins.Like others, I measured the diameters, and they measured as:1/4 was 7/32 5/16 was 19/64 2/5 was 3/8 (decimal .4 was .37)On the 2/5 size, there were some smaller pins built into the tip end (see photo) that measured about .135 or 3.5mm. I assume these could be used for smaller-holed gland nuts, so count this as a surprise pin included. How much affect these size-differences will affect their usefulness reamains to be seen. My thought is that they might work OK, but they may not last as long as tighter-toleranced ones would.

Additional parts for gland nut wrench
A few weeks ago, I purchased a gland nut wrench for repair of hydraulic cylinders. It is a decent well-made tool and came with two different sizes of pins to fit the holes on a hydraulic cylinder head. This set of bits will expand the size range of cylinders that I can use the tool on by offering 3 additional pin sizes to accommodate different cylinder sizes. So far this seems to be a solid tool, I will update this review once I have used the tool more.
