Now,I knew this was a larger unit than the one I had but this one takes up some room.Now having said that I love this unit just love,love and oh love it.It does eat H2O but it does keep a area cool.Oh it runs @200 w not the 80w it states in the info ...but overall a great unit very,very happy with this

this cooler is doing a decent job cooling. the thing that is disappointing is when you hook the hose and turn on the water it sprays out the vents. had a time trying to regulate the water flow. the float did stick and showed it had a full tank, when it quit cooling i looked at the top where water is being pumped there was no water. could have burnt up the pump. just a little tweaking and is working fine here in northwest arizona.

It seemed to pump too much water, overflowing the evaporation pads and allowing the fan to suck water through and onto the floor and nearby furnishings. Now the motor isn't coming on. I think maybe the excess water damaged the electric motor, but no satisfaction from efforts to correct the situation thus far. Now I'm told it's out of warranty and they want me to pack and ship for repairs. Not reasonable given the size/weight and packaging needed for me to ship. worked well for about 4 weeks, then water flying everywhere, now motor won't work

Updated2024: the fan no longer works, less than a year, already out of warranty.Original: I live in humid Houston TX and it works great. Doesn’t feel like a fan, more like wind and very quiet. Hose hook up also works great.

It works! This Uthfy evaporative cooler works very well in the work out room.It lowers the room temp by 10-15 degrees and seems much cheaper than running the AC unit.It's a 10.6 gallon large tank so you don't have to keep refilling.It also stays cooler longer because the tank holds a lot of ice packs.It does not have to be vented to the outside with a hose like an regular AC. I can also still enjoy my outdoor patio (in the shade) with this cooler set on low temperature.I highly recommend it to anybody who is looking to cool an outdoor patio, without the high cost & energy consumption of air-conditioning and it's great if you live someplace with a dry climate.The wheels allow it to roll freely on solid surfaces and the wheel locks prevent it from moving when stability is needed.And different with other coolers ,this unit is mostly metal not plastic.
