Let me preface this by saying that I broke my right wrist from a fall right at the holidays. I have not been able to use this since then, but before I took that misstep, my helper and I were able to put it to a couple of fairly rigorous jobs.We had a patio foundation that was poured many, many years ago by the previous owner of the land that we live on. This thing sat in a location that still has me scratching my head as to why. The concrete was about 31/2" thick and sized at 12 x 14. I ordered this JACKCHEN Electric Jackhammer specifically for this project.I will have to admit that I have never used an electric jackhammer before, so I truly had my doubts about how this was going to do under a load.When it arrived and I removed it from its' packaging, the first thing that I noticed was the weight of the unit. This thing is HEAVY for an electric powered tool. The SECOND thing I noticed is the really cheap case that was included. When I say cheap, I mean this thing is useless. If I had drawn my conclusions on my first impressions, they would have not been good.At my age and with the number of back surgeries that I have had, I needed a helper for this project. One of my employees, who is half my age, asked if he could get some extra weekend work, so I didn't have to look for a helper.He started using the tool first and I noticed that it was doing a FANTASTIC job of breaking up the patio. The weight of the tool gives it some solid backbone that helps with demolition.When I took over, I found out just how much power that this thing has. I was not just impressed, I was shocked. You would never think that an electric tool would have this much torque. I was able to break up about 5 square feet before I was worn out. The weight will definitely make a difference with how long you can use it without taking a break.By the end of the day, we had the entire slab broken up and my helper wheelbarrowed the chunks down to my bulkhead at the head of the canal that comes into my property from the 2,000 acre lake we live on. Start to finish was about a 7 hour job. That included cleaning up the pieces and moving them to the bulkhead.I am VERY glad that I ordered this JACKCHEN Electric Jackhammer. It easily got the first task that I had ordered it for done in short order. I have already found a couple of other things that need concrete removed from them around our dock. The case is damaged

I have JUST received this. I will continue to update this, upon opening the box, there was broken glass inside which thankfully didn't cut me. I assume it was from the goggles as there is no lenses in them any more. I am more worried they think having glass safety glasses is a good idea... It's not.Case came broken, I assumed that when I bought this bas d on other reviews. Item seems mostly intact. Just be warry of broken glass if you buy thisUpdate: I used this to knock out my front sidewalk to replace it with a paver walkway, and this did the job solidly. I wish the way it was shipped was better so I gave it a few more stars for being a decent product.

I'll just say that I had doubts. And I've rented a jack hammer before. But this... Is useful and as a casual homeowner doing "big" projects, this will save me money down the road.I used it for a project running some low voltage conduit under my driveway. It broke up the concrete easy. Albeit it was just a narrow strip and not a big job. But still. I'm too old to be swinging a sledgehammer and this was as easy as you get.Inserting/Removing the hammer tip is easy also. Pull the lock pin out and turn it 180°. Repeat to lock.The supporting handle rotates and works well for carrying as well.The case is a bit weak. Has wheels to roll along and holds the tool but it's not very robust.This kit includes an extra set of motor brushes. Came with a bottle and tip for oil. Don't forget this step if you plan to keep this tool working for a long time. Came with tools for maintenance. And a pair of work gloves and eye protection. It actually funny how it came with everything (less the oil) to use it as soon as removed from the box.Glad to have this and save rental money in the future. I've already got another project in the backyard to plan now.
