Dustbin Baby Review
Wow! This fim is about an emotional journey that a girl called April undergoes to discover her past and find out more about what she was like as a very young infant and how she was discovered-in a dustbin outside a pizza parlour. This film really highlights the struggles and troubles that teenagers might go through, but is fun and intriguing at the same time. I would recommend this film to anyone who relishes a good story, but I would also recommed a tissue box because if you'r anything like me and will cry at anything then this film might just do that!I have watched it several times and still get enjoyment from it, a good buy.

Heartfelt
I watched this movie on t.v. and brought it. This movie made me cry. The teenager in the movie is very rebellious and has a checkered past due to her involvement with others children in the orphanage. She struggles on until she is adopted by a spinster teacher turned art curator who is completely the opposite to her. They live together in a not so harmonious situation with the teenager still rebelling and feeling a bit stifled. On her sixteenth birthday she wants to try and find her real mother and ask why she left her in a dustbin? The story follows her investigations until she meets the man who found her in the dustbin and after a lot of distress on her adopted mothers part the teenager realizes it is she who really cares for her and accepts her as her mother.

Gritty and moving.
this was infinitely better than I expected: I was a huge Jacqueline Wilson fan as a child and her books still move me to this day, I thought that particularly with a PG rating only, this adaptation would fail to capture what I loved about the book. I was pleasantly surprised by the maturity of the work, there wasn't any of the dumbing down and sugar coating I was dreading. The cast was remarkable without exception Dakota Blue Richards being the standout but the younger Aprils were incredibly good for such young children. This really isn't just for kids(in fact its more suited to older children than the under tens) and is a realistic and heart-warming look at issues of trust abandonment and finding your real family. Highly recommended .

An unexpected gem
I have to steal Gary H comment as this exactly what it is. A real gem of a movie. For me a real change as i spend a lot of time and money watching silent witness, waking the dead and other superb British dramas. The film is moving , sad and funny at times. I cannot recommend this movie more highly. And yes it does have subtitles for the hard of hearing.Bottom lineBUY IT!!!!
