Good looking, good value
Look good, easy to fit, did the job of replacing an old set of knobs which had failed. Reasonably priced and appear well made.

Almost perfect, but....
These door knobs really look quality. They appear to be solid brass rather than plated. They were easy to fit, with one problem. On the set I had, the thread for the grub screw had not been cleanly cut. I could not get the supplied brass grub screw to go in more than a couple of millimetres. I managed to resolve the problem by using a similarly-sized STEEL grub screw to tap the hole properly. Once I had done this, I was able to insert the brass grub screw successfully. If I hadn't had a set of steel grub screws to hand, I would have been sending the product back. You may find that you do not have this problem and I still recommend this product for its otherwise excellent build quality.

Poor return operation.
Having fitting the Victorian lock with the brass handles recommended, I found that when completed assembled onto the door and rotated the knob it would not return. There were two issues the thread on the locking bar notchey and the knob operation stiff on the base plates. The base plate should be fitted with an assisted spring to improve the rotation and return operation.
