This shade is a solid piece of plastic, with two holes cut out. One to attach the lightbulb clip, and the other for the pull chain to drop through. The clip is wire and needs to be bent slightly open to fit the bulb. Once in place it holds well. I am using it on a plastic led bulb so no worries of breaking the bulb. However care would be needed if attaching to glass lights. It diffuses the light quite nicely and looks better than a naked bulb. Cheaper and easier than replacing an old light fixture. Worth the cost. I received 2 in the box for $15.

Great quality.Cheapest price I have found for this type of light cover.My bulbs were in the older type enclosed glass cover and I did not feel it was safe with the heat enclosed against the ceiling so I got these to cover the bare bulbs.Also the new energy saving type bulbs are not suppose to be place in enclosed covers so this is a good option.The two pack is very well made,good quality especially for the lower price range.They look like heavy, white glass once installed.If you have a slanted ceiling these work well to make the fixture cover look level.

These look kind of cheap, but they were easy to install on the exposed light bulb in a couple of closets and look ok.

Easy to put on light bulb

This looks and works ok. I needed the shade to have a hole in it for the light fixture chain and could not find a similar product in stock anywhere with a chain hole, so I drilled one into the plastic of this shade. The shade does tilt slightly when you pull on the bulb chain which is a minor nuisance but not a show-stopper. If your bulb has a wall switch to turn it on and off this shade should work just fine. Although it's plastic it looks like frosted glass and overall I am satisfied with it.

We have overhead exposed lightbulbs in our basement. Eventually, we plan to finish the basement, but in the meantime, we've set up some areas for different things... a play area for the kids, some work areas for us... but the exposed lightbulbs in the ceiling are a bit harsh on the eyes, so I stumbled upon these while looking for possible solutions. I ordered a set to try them out. They actually work pretty well. I wouldn't say that they seem like really expensive or super high-quality materials, but the definitely do the trick when it comes to diffusing and softening the light! So I ordered a couple more boxes. I had covered the bulbs that are the highest priority, but still have a few that could use some shades. I'll probably keep looking to see if I can find this, or similar products, on sale or at a reduced price, later on, if possible.

Super easy to install and looks very nice. Since all our accents are black, I just coloured the gold spindle with a black paint pen, and now it’s perfect.

These are great. Lightweight and easy to use. I suffer from arthritis and can no longer reinstall the glass globes, so these are the perfect solution. Bare bulbs are so unsightly.
