This saw amazed me!
I have been looking for a chainsaw to use around the house but due to past experiences with 2 cycle engines, I was hesitant about making a purchase. I came across this saw on the internet and studied up on it before making the purchase. When it arrived I was surprised and how solid it was feeling much like a gas powered saw. Upon using it it I was even more impressed with the performance. This thing is strong and has an impressive battery life. It cuts through wood much better than any gas powered saw I’ve hade before, and not having to warm it up by hand yanking on a rip cord! Very good saw!

Excellent power, easy to use
I love this chainsaw! I know it will be much less hassle than my old gas power chainsaw as it ages. It may be slightly lighter in weight, but it is not light, it still requires some effort to use. Be aware that while you no longer need to deal with a gas engine, you still need bar chain oil for the chain, same as legacy saws. Maybe slight overkill for the amount of cutting I do around my yard and in the woods around my house - my gas chainsaw was 16 inch and that was enough for me, but Husqvarna doesn’t make a 16 inch so I got this 18 incher. No regrets, I love it! It’s very powerful. Further plus, I got free delivery as a Prime member, vs Lowe’s & HD quoting 50 bucks to deliver! (not stocked in store, delivery was only option)

Impressive!!
I was apprehensive about buying an electric chainsaw as I have only owned gas. I was shocked at this saw. I just cut down and sectioned a 16” diameter palm tree with a wet trunk. It went through the tree like butter, and when I was finished the battery was still on full. I was very impressed, and do not regret going electric one bit. I can’t imagine a similar gas unit would cut any better.

check out the whole saw before you tackle a tree!
This saw was put together when I got it. Everything seemed ok when I checked it out except the part that tightens the bar seemed off! While using it for the first time the chain came off which was weird since it was tight when I started. This is when I knew something was wrong with the bar. The cover tightens on to a bolt and it seemed the cover tightened was stripped or just so loose it would not tighten enough to hold the bar and chain in a secure position. I have owned the same Husky Rancher for 45 years and it was a work horse. I thought I would go battery this time but was disappointed in the quality of the saw! The saw was light, and easy to use but the problem with the bar was huge! In order to clean the saw as well as change chains the mechanism that holds the bar and chain in place must be easy to take off and tighten on!

Electric Chainsaw!
Powerful. Cuts good. Battery life is acceptable. Ergonomics is also acceptable - although balance somewhat awkward. But then it depends on what the user is accustomed to. Also this saw (with battery) is heavier than a gas chainsaw with equivalent power. It is quieter, so you will annoy the neighbors less. Battery is a tight fit, as it should be, but can be difficult to remove with my old arthritic fingers. Fit and finish, build quality, as with most Husqvarna products, is excellent. I also appreciate that it's not a hot, combustible gas burning beast when it's the end of summer and the whole world is a tinderbox! Yes you can still throw a spark, but it just feels much safer ...

Electric vs gas… see uses for each
We have this electric chainsaw as well as the gas-powered Rancher model. The pros of this saw are it is lightweight, incredibly easy to turn on (especially on/off repeatly), and easy to maintain. It’s great for cutting the small stuff (branches), but requires a bit more strength from you to cut through thinner trunks than the more powerful Rancher (while a heavier saw to carry slices through without much strength from you). Having a second battery is also very helpful as the turbo mode eats through the battery quickly. With this saw, we were able to eventually cut several cords of firewood from thinner downed trees (over many battery charges), but needed to be quite selective on what we chose to cut as size and position of trunks were quite limiting with this saw. While the power is limiting with this saw, it’s ease of use make it a great addition to a gas powered saw.

Wonderful
I love this chain saw. It has the power for firewood, or cleaning up the yard. The most important quality about this machine is it starts every time, without effort. (And it has power)
