Impulsive buy - no regrets
Bought this on impulse after seeing it on offer - no regrets as it's extremely easy to swap hard drives in and out of to use externally.The USB3 interface allows almost every laptop hard drive to max out easily at 80-100MB/s. Haven't tried an SSD in this unit though, although those would certainly perform faster.Definitely recommend if you want to convert spare hard drives to portable ones.

A low-cost quality item that works very well.
Dislike: nothing so far.Like: the quality feel and fit, comprehensive kit, very protective box, the solid way it connects to the SATA mounting.Going to use it tomorrow initially to format a 320 GB Hdd from an otherwise defunct EeePC, using my 3.5" SATA/USB external Hdd enclosure.I also ordered another item from same seller, arrived at same time, to fit the formatted 320 GB Hdd in my desktop. That is reviewed elsewhere. works well and good price
I used this HD caddy to contain a spare drive from an old laptop. It gets used constantly as a temporary drive for game and movie downloads and works flawlessly.

works fine with supplied cable
great cheap solution , but only works with supplied usb cable, MacBook Pro (2018) will not find the drive if use usb to usbc cable so have to use a adaptor , not the end of the world just means have to always carry a adaptor rather than just one lead.

In future, please don’t show your customers something they thought was very useful for resources.
In the images explaining what the hardrive was, I thought it was confirmed that it would come with storage however, it is just a case. I am highly disappointed as this was a waste. I searched storage for consoles, not cases and this looked promising as in the images, storage (I think it’s and SD card or a card that holds storage) was shown to its customers. Really disappointed.
