These are the first "white" curtains I've seen that actually block sunlight.My husband works graveyard so we need a room truly blacked out for him to sleep. Over the course of our marriage this has meant we've always had dark curtains. First navy, then brown.We finally decided to get blackout blinds installed, but they leave a bright line of light around both large windows where the sun sneaks through around the edges.ETA: I realized not everyone is hanging these in front of blackout blinds, so as a test we opened the blackout blinds (so full daylight was coming through) and we pulled the curtains closed. They block the vast majority of light coming through, leaving only a faint glow around the edge of the curtains. My husband, who sleeps during the day, pronounced them as the best light blocking curtains he has had.These curtains block every bit of light around those edges. The room is pitch black when they're pulled shut. My husband was thrilled. I'm thrilled that we no longer have to have dark curtains in our bedroom.They're heavy curtains, a thick satin, and lined with black on the back side. I wouldn't say they're super shiny but they have a definite sateen look.I think they look white but I do think the black in the back side may give the faintest hint of silver/grey when looking at them. It doesn't bother me at all as they're hanging behind a set of sheer curtains in a double curtain rod.I would recommend these if your goal is good looking curtains that block the light.

Matches perfectly with walls and most importantly, truly darkens the room. Photos are taken same day/time (approx 2pm) on a fairly bright February day in Northern California.We have white blinds, which are fine for privacy but don't really block sunlight when we want to sleep in on the weekend or take a nap during the day (should we have that luxury).I just installed these today and it looks great! Blackout works as advertised and expected. I hope this will also be effective at blocking heat in the summer, particularly since we have single pane windows. We'll see.Only issue, which isn't a product issue, is that the curtains match so well with the walls that it looks rather boring, although the material is a satin so it has a silky glow to it. I'm going to buy a sheer curtain to layer on top to give the curtain a little dimension and design.

I read several reviews from other curtains before settling on this one. Even though there was not many pictures to go by, after looking into the material used and the way the curtains are made I decided to take the plunge and make the purchase.I am so glad I did! As you can tell from the pics, not only do the curtains look good and match my color scheme (navy) but they are extremely well constructed. They are very thick with black inserts woven in to block out unnecessary light. Also because of the thickness of the material and the assembly, I didn't even have to put them in the dryer to air out the wrinkles. I took them out the package, hung them up and what you see in the picture is exactly how they look right out the box.I would strongly recommend anyone wanting good quality blackout curtains to pick these up!

Photo is with current curtain rod.Will replace with a sturdier one.Also my window is 36" across.I bought the floor length curtains.Weighty which I like,But I did decide to buy a longer sturdier rod.Both for aesthetic and peace of mind.I will install the rod after world cup 2018.Currently, I can get away with using one panel to cover the windowBut I want to extend beyond the window and use both panels so I bought a sturdier, longer curtain rod.I wasn't looking for noise cancelationBut it's probably not best for that.I still heard yard work outside.It's hard to take photos of darkness with a phone. Even if I felt like pulling out the dslr I am sure it would be slightly challenging. And let's face it I'm not going to take a photo with my dslr to upload to a computer to upload to Amazon.Just trust meThese work well.

I got these for a master bedroom. I was impressed when I opened the package. The material is 100% polyester but feels like silk. Very nice backing that blocks out the light.I’d give these 5 stars if it wasn’t for the wrinkles.These came very compressed in a rectangular pouch. The wrinkles from being compressed will not come out. I first pressed them on the floor. Then wet them with a spray bottle and pressed them again. Put them in the dryer with dryer sheets no luck. I then washed them and dryer on low still no luck. I assume some will come out with time but the creases from being folded would not come out even with a steam iron.Why not roll these up so you don’t get those crease linesUpdate Feb 2022 They have been hanging for 2+ years now and many of the wrinkles still remain. Mostly along the fold lines. They should roll these up for packaging. Updated pics are Sideways ones.

The curtains were very thick and blocked light adequately but showed up with dark stains on them (pictured). I returned them right away and will be ordering others.

I finally found the perfect white curtains for my living room. I have shopped around for over a year now trying to find black out curtains. Not one pair I stumbled up on were truly black out. These on the other hand are amazing. As you can see in my pictures I took one with the lights off in early afternoon and the second picture is with my living room light on. I bought 2 pairs and seems like I would only be needing one. Great product definetely recomend it to anyone looking for all white black out curtains.

Son elegantes, llegaron en buen estado, bien empacadas, no arrugadas.Efectivamente bloquean la luz, entra un poquito por la parte de las argollas, pero es cosa de nada. La use porque fuera de mi ventana hay una luminaria prendida toda la noche que no me dejaba dormir y con las cortinas era como si no hubiera nada.

Me encantaron súper económicas muy delgadas no pesan ni estorban y si bloquean la luz. Si son black outs! Solo tengo que subir un poquito el cortinero para que bloquee aún más.

Buena calidad de bloqueo y todo, pero el color no me gusto casi, son blancas pero brillan mucho y se ven un poco azules. Pero en funcion, calidad y tiempo de entrega todo perfecto.

Las cortinas se ven de buena calidad, làstima que me las enviaron en color blanco puro, brillantes, cuando las pedí blanco opaco. Las estoy regresando, ya que no son lo que pedí.

Geniales....! Bloquean Completamente La Luz....! Magníficas...!
