The media could not be loaded. Surprisingly good quality mics to be honest, I didn't think they would be this good. Despite my reservations the interchangeable heads can be swapped while the mic is powered up, I did test these out after I made the video review and the difference between the various heads was noticeable.As I say in the video, the case is NOT aluminium, the edges are but the panels are in fact hardboard with a plastic covering made to look like aluminium. The Mics themselves are well constructed, have a nice weight and feel to them and are made of metal.You will need XLR leads and they need a phantom power supply, these are far better than I expected and the interchangeable heads are a real plus. For the money I don't think you will do much better, the foam windscreens are what they are, if you are shooting/recording outside use a dead cat rather than the supplied windscreens.The case will not take severe punishment given what it is made of but it is nice to see these mics well protected by the foam inserts, it is a nice looking case that won't embarrass you. All in all great value and very very good quality.

I purchased these mics with no great expectations bearing in mind the pricepoint. That said i have been pleasantly surprised be it mic'ing up acoustic instruments, a choir or a duo they have performed impeccably producing a clear and bright sound. The capsule options mean that you have effectively multiple microphone options in your toolkit priceless,

Bought these a couple of weeks ago as a gamble and all I can say is it's paid off! A lovely variety of tones available from the interchangeable capsules. Have tested them using different stereo micing techniques and have been pleasantly surprised. Very low self noise to boot. What's not to like....

I'm a video producer and voice-over professional so I spend a lot of time with microphones. For voice-over work I stick primarily with Rode mics, but I also play guitar and ukulele and the dynamic mics I have for voice don't really meet the needs of acoustic instrument recording. These are absolutely the ticket!! They are a matched pair so they have precisely the same frequency response. Set them up with the cardioid capsule so they are both pointing at the instrument from a few feet away and they record in incredible detail (I'll post some footage as soon as I can.) If you have a couple of musicians, just back the mics up and put on the super-cardioid capsules for a broader capture pattern. You'll get a rich, full recording. Even better, if you are recording a jam session, arrange the musicians in a circle, put on the omni capsules and position the mics a few feet apart facing away from one another. The detail and nuance you'll record is mind-blowing!These are really brilliant mics and I'm glad to have them in my mic library. The LyxPro folks sent me a sample of these for review consideration and I'm so glad they did because they fill a need that I didn't have covered before.
