Chainsaw wheel works great!
Clearing a bunch of brush for a fence that’s going in. I’d been using a chainsaw, but down on the ground and getting dirt in the chain, slow work, etc.Switched to this chainsaw wheel on a Stihl machine and this thing works very well. The blade is pretty heavy, get it spitting and it’s going right through brush up to about 3 inches in diameter like butter. Not down on my hands and knees, it’s way faster and I have some reach to work ahead of where I am standing further.Should have bought this thing long ago. Trying to keep it out of the dirt will make it last longer. It came with a variety of attachment gizmos so it will likely fit just about any trimmer.I’m using a stink FS90. It’s a pretty big trimmer. Runs this pretty easily. Wheel has quite a bit of mass and that inertia carries the cutter through the entire job easily.Don’t forget your safety glasses.

Works great, reused nut from original head
I have very large grass plants which need cut in early spring, their stalks are too much for my hedge trimmer. It just stalls. This saw blade was perfect, it cut right through them. Now, about the kit, it’s not completely universal.I have a Homelite trimmer which I think was the Home Depot’s cheapest a few years back. The saw blade fit perfectly on the metal ring the original head attached to, I used one of the domed disks from the kit on top of that, then the big metal cup so the nut would be protected while in use. The problem is none of the nuts in the kit fit my threaded shaft. They were all too big. The solution in my case was easy, though. The original head that was unscrewed, had a nut set into it. I popped it out with a screwdriver and hammer. I used this nut to secure it.Notes, my threads are backwards, so counter clockwise to tighten. The direction the blade teeth face is important. Make sure no one else is around you, no kids or pets, this is incredibly dangerous.

It worked very well got the high weeds down
The only problem I had with the product I had to get a shoulder knot that's it I had to use one off of my old head in order for it to tighten down properly you have to have a shoulder knot one that has a half inch shoulder that goes over the stud because the spacers are not thick enough and the thick spacer had the wrong keyways I made it work it works fine but it has to have a better shoulder nut

Great for cutting tough jobs.
Cuts like mad…!Have to be careful with this as it cuts fast and down to the dirt fast.Be careful…!

Not for a JD BC1600
I have a John Deere BC1600 straight shaft trimmer. I now know that this tool has a smooth shaft that the string holder slides onto and this shaft is internally threaded for a bolt. The blades and adapters are all designed to use a nut to secure the blades to the trimmer. There is no safe way with the parts provided to use these blades with this trimmer.Very disappointed at the 'universal adapter kit'

It works okay, but not perfect.
It heats the head up really hot and mounting to a Stihl isn’t perfect. It got the job done, but I don’t think it would be good to use long term.
