Being leather, it does mark a little. But, it is a good product.

Note: This review is for the iphone 5 version that I have had for 3 years but it is the same construction as the iphone 7.I was looking for a quality leather case for my iphone and bought and returned a few cheap imitations before finding this case. I am going to say right off that bat this this is not some cheap disposable product, it is a well crafted leather tool that will last longer than your phone. Both cheap and expensive leather look fine when you buy it but expensive leather gets better with age and the patina these cases get over the years is beautiful. After 3 years my case looks like an antique book cover and it is really a joy to handle and admire. The leather is also such that if its lightly scratched it can be buffed back with your finger oils.The fit and finish are also top notch, the phone fits securely in the case and the surrounding synthetic material protects the phone from side impacts. The case also fits the phone perfectly and the magnetic clasp is cut to such perfect tolerance the latch literally closes itself when I close the case. Sometimes I find myself just opening and closing the case to admire how well it was put together. Everything just fits together to a surprising degree.The stitching is even and well executed and after 3 years there is not a single loose thread. It is stitched around the card holders as well which will help prevent any tears. I did not use the case to hold any cards or money but the fit is a little tight for cards at first but it loosens with time.All said and done this product is worth every penny and frankly probably worth more than the price considering the craftmanship that goes into it. I was actually disappointed that I had to part with my old case when I upgraded my phone to the iphone 7 and made a point to order a new case before the phone arrived. If you are looking for a well thought out quality product that you will carry with pride then I cannot recommend this case enough.

Ordered March 2018 and have used it daily since. I’m a big fan of the quality leather Snakehive London decided to use. It requires conditioner to maintain long term durability, especially on the magnetic latch.I use Bick 4 Leather conditioner once every 4-6 weeks and totally saturate the leather, seams, and edges; to keep her real real moist. The patina is becoming a thing of beauty and on its way to matching a Coach wallet I’ve owned for years.-One thing I think may not last as long as the leather, is the plastic case that holds your phone. When the time comes I will reach out to Snakeskin for their recommendation on replacing the plastic case only.-I have dropped my phone from several heights and angles without any damage as the leather protrudes enough to form a sort of shell. I would recommend a screen protector for your phone, though I haven’t used one and it’s fine.-Do not place it on a wet surface or it will stick and pull like any leather product.It takes a while for the card pockets to stretch. However, I can easily fit my license and two credit cards in the slots, and a couple business cards in the larger sleeve under the card pockets. I don’t ever fold the case on itself to use it as a stand, as the latch sort of covers a part of the screen and I don’t want to stress the leather.I hope I am able to buy this product indefinitely, as I can’t see myself buying anything else. I am totally satisfied. Looks great, feels great, very functional. Lots of compliments, a real winner

The case is better than expected. Quality material and construction. This is a real value.

I like the look of this product. The card slots on the interior are convenient. The clear rubber phone case is well mounted to the leather wallet. I have dropped my phone several times and both the case and phone were unscathed.The only thing I would improve on this product would be how it doesn’t close well when card slots and pocket behind the slots are both in use. The magnet is not sting enough to hold it completely closed. Overall, I go Ave been satisfied with this purchase.

Very happy with my new phone case; worth every penny. It's made of very nice leather that is about 2mm thick. That's about as thick as you'd want it so it remains flexible, yet thick enough to be durable. I ordered brown and expected it to be more suede like and distressed looking. It's not suede like but it has enough texture that it doesn't easily slip out of my shirt pocket, which is what I wanted. It's also a very consistent chocolate brown. I don't plan on putting stuff in the pockets and as it is it's thin enough to carry easily. Overall a very high quality item that should easily outlast 2 or 3 of the cheaper alternatives. I'm glad I splurged on this.

I held back on durability until we get some real miles on it.

I had been looking for a case to hold a couple cards and my drivers license along with a few dollars. I found this case, saved it, and contemplated it for a few weeks. . .every time I'd stuff ID behind my phone in my regular phone case I'd think how much nicer this one would be so I finally ordered it. It came quickly and was packaged so well. I got the brown (it really is genuine) leather and LOVE it!! It's so soft yet easy to hold, doesn't slip out of your hands. I was able to slip 3 'cards' in the slots with ease, in the inside pocket I am able to carry a lil cash and my AAA card. . .it is exactly what I hoped it would be. I am beyond impressed and would definitely recommend it. Money well spent.

Phone case seems very well made. The stitching looks good and secure. The plastic shell fits very snugly and all the buttons, slots, mic, speaker and camera line up accurately. I would like it if it had a lanyard or provision to add a lanyard, but very few cases seem to have that, and none of the ones I really liked had such a feature. Apart from that, it's a very nice case.

Looks absolutely beautiful, smells wonderfully of leather and feels like it is real quality....all too good to be true? Yes!!! Phone cases have been around for years. Some manufacturers get the whole practicality and style whilst others just opt for the latter. Unfortunately in this case the latter has definitely won!! As you can see from the picture, the cut away for the camera is too small and too thick....which means that if you use the flash on your camera you recreate the Victorian smog that Jack the Ripper used to frequent!! Really am so disappointed after spending this much money on a quality case just to realise it hasn’t been tested from a practical point of view!

Corner where camera is comes away very quickly, only a matter of months. Anyone who calls me can’t hear me and complain that I sound muffled. This situation is immediately remedied by removing the phone from the case. I wouldn’t recommend this product save your money by a cheaper one. That way you won’t be disappointed if it’s as bad as this.

A quality product this is my second phone case from snakehive, only needed a new one because of new phone, lovely colour perfect size a little stiff at the moment as its new but I know it will gradually soften with use as its genuine leather. Its a good solid protective case. Yes its a bit on the pricy side but I know it will outlast the phone. Enough space for 3 cards and flap for cash Its all I need. Now just need to work out how to use the new phone!

Had one of these before for a Samsung. That one has lasted the tests of time and still looks great. The wallets are great quality in real leather. Don't waste your money on 'leather look' ones.
