Handmade to Sell: Hello Craft's Guide to Owning, Running, and Growing Your Crafty Biz Paperback – July 10, 2012

Great book for a beginner like me. It makes a nice addition to my library. No problems with the seller, item, nor shipping. Book arrived in great condition.

I finished reading this book not too long ago in preparation for my husband and I starting our own handmade lamp business. I thought that it was so helpful for what it was -- an introductory book that covers all of the bases. However, I wish it had more information about specifics, like how to calculate how much tax your business will owe to the government or how to incorporate. I'm about to read one of the author's other books, so hopefully it will help with these issues. I still would highly recommend for anyone starting a business who has little to no business experience like we do (people working in the IT and Communication fields).

Very helpful hints and ideas about starting your own craft business. Easy to understand and put into practice.Would recommend to family and friends if they are interested in getting paid for their talents.

Beginners handmade sellers should read this book. It covers all the aspects of selling handmade stuff. Loved all the tips, specially creating my own light box.Loved and recommended!

I think this would be a great book for anyone who is new to selling crafts. I've been a successful seller on Etsy (2000+ sales), and would have liked to have had something like this a few years ago. However, knowing everything I have learned in my business on Etsy, this book really didn't benefit me at all.

Lots of ideas, hints and tips here. Worth reading. I can't think of anything extra that should have been included.

This book is not very helpful and offers nothing new. I could learn this month from the internet. I purchased it new and right before it was printed mainly because it was straight off the press in the age of the internet, so I thought the information would be very fresh. It was not.

While I liked the book, it hasn't changed my small business at all. Perhaps its meant to be more of a reference book for your shelf...?

Es difícil encontrar un libro tan específico y completo a este precio en español. i am happy with the choice i made to get hold of this book becoz i needed to make a beginning somewhere as regards developing an understanding of setting up a business in handicrafts. i found this book quite helpful in terms of the various components of setting up one's own business, the essentials to deal with and the smaller but important issues that must not be ignored.....it is a clearly-written and well-structured book, easy on the eye and on the mind. i would strongly recommend this book as a starting point for anyone who might want to set up his/her own business in handicrafts.

So good! nicely written and lovely illustrations. Good advice form people who have been through it all themselves.I am only a little way through but am really enjoying it.Only thing is that it is by an American author so all the listings for good craft fairs and shops are not in uk :(Great book

The book was just what I needed, but being a complete novice in this sort of thing I found it a bit hard going in places but overall fairly clearly written and very informative.
