Holds Hair securely, and doesn’t poke your scalp. I live in the tropics, and this time of year the humidity and heat is intense. I usually wear my hair up because it gets in the way when I’m doing things. But when my hair is piled on top of my head, over the hours the hair on the nape of my neck frizzes and knots, becoming unmanageable and not very comely. I used to use these years ago just to hold my hair off my face, but for summer this works great to tame the knotted mess from an up do in this heat, my hair is very long and thick. Generally it’s become curly as I’ve gotten older, but I think these would hold even straight, fine hair. It doesn’t pinch, and is very secure. I even dozed off after dinner laying flat on the couch and I forgot the comb was there on thr back of my scalp. It didn’t budge, didn’t poke me, or break from the weight of my head. These definitely work. Make sure you get the right size for your purpose and type of hair. I will order more in br 4” size as well, but these even held my hair off the face when I wore it down as a test run out doing errands earlier. My hair stayed put and I didn’t have to readjust.Glad I found the brand my mom remembered using.

These hold well in my hair. I have lots of hair, and so often the wide tooth hair combs slide out. Not these! I love them.

These combs work perfectly in my very wavy hair. They stick in and stay! The size is just right and not too small. I got the clear ones to blend into my gray hair. Once in they are light enough you don't know they are there.

Love these! They really do grip and stay in hair compared to Goody and others. They also seem less breakable. Just double the price they should be which is disappointing, hence only four stars. Otherwise, I highly recommend!

This Grip-tuth hair comb stayed in all day and came out easily when it was time to remove it. After having cheaper combs fall out several times a day, this hair comb was a blessing. It was a splurge at this price, but the deciding factor was that it is made in the USA.

This comb can hold my fine wavy shoulder length hair in a twist all day with no added help. No bobby pins. No nothing. And no fiddling with it.Picture is my hair after a full day of work and a mile into my after work walk. Stayed that way until i took it out at bed time. There is a small clip at the bottom just to catch stray hair.Teeth are smooth and do not snag hair.Amazing. A lifetime of long hair and this rare. Worth it!!!I am getting more.
