I like to use these between my annuals so I know how my cholesterol is going. I am unsure of the accuracy but it's pretty close to the results in the dr's office. Also, it's accurate enough so I know, whether the cholesterol levels are still a concern. I have a little trouble poking my finger, but there is nothing the companies can do about that :-)

Comes with 3 strips they are easy to use and insert in the cardio check device, the only thing is that it needs more blood than what the tubing marks but thankfully the machine waits until it has the amount that’s needed. I would recommend to have enough blood ready in the tubing before inserting the chip into the machine, good thing you don't have to wait more than 3 minutes for results and are pretty accurate. Overall good product

No single lab test is perfect but this test comes close actually and mirrors the professional tests. When the numbers approach 200, I take a 10mg statin, (more causes too much back pain), resume exercising, cut out all animal fats for a month, eat lima beans, Gardein etc. and the test results reflect the changes made. It has helped me keep the numbers in line ever since the price was 12 bucks for 3, now 18. So I guess it pays to continue at 6 dollars a test because I made it in good health to 83 despite familial hypercholesteremia.

Tested at home with a result of 200. Tested at lab and redult was 189. That is close enough for me. Be sure you fast, preferably 12 hrs. Before you test.

I used this for a month, and it worked fine. Then I went back a couple months later, changed the batteries, opened a new box of test strips and card, it will not turn on. SO disappointed.
