It's a little loud, but will be better than the mechanical lever!
Mounted onto my atv. You will need an additional bracket to mount it to whatever atv you have. Everything was perfect and easy to mount. I will say the wiring is really vague. I would appreciate the color coding according to the wiring diagram, or clearly label the wires. All in all, I would recommend it so far. Haven't test it under snow conditions yet though, stay tuned.

Garbage
This 4000LB wench can't do what it says, it is a piece of garbage. Save your money and buy a different wench. This "4000lb" wench cant even lift our 500lb golf cart up the truck. It literally takes 10 minutes to move the golf cart up about 10 feet. We had a 2500lb wench from Harbor Freight that worked great until the cable twisted so we thought we'd upgrade to a higher weight for more speed. WORST decision we have ever made. The remote cuts in and out no matter how close you are, the wire connection is not very long (maybe 2 feet??) Just a piece of crap! I would return it but can't as we modified the plug to fit into our truck. Didn't realize this would be the worst wench we have ever bought. DONT BUY IT - GET SOMETHING BETTER !!!

A Little Wimpy, But It Worked
It's a little on the wimpy side, but it got the job done. I bought this to pull a 3,300 lb. car onto a U-Haul auto transport. It does have an automatic shut-off when it gets hot. You have to wait about 3 minutes for it to cool down, then it will start again. It took about four attempts, but we finally got the car on the trailer. We used the double line method and there was plenty of cable to reach the length of the trailer. I think the weight rating is probably closer to 2,000. The cable didn't break, so that was good, but it was sure struggling to pull the car on level ground and on to the trailer deck. Value for the money, I guess you get what you pay for.

Winch
Seems to be a good winch, I bought this for the wireless function, but remote only works sometimes. Works great if you want a hard wired winch though.

Nice little winch
I bought this to rip out some shrubs. Strapped the winch to a tree and pulled out a bunch of shrubs so far like you pull out weedsNegative: the wireless remote must be within 5’ of the winch for steady control but it worked fine when close. The wired remote works 100%. Mine came wound the wrong way so IN was OUT and vice verse, simply re-wound the cable the right way and it’s normal now
