Great watch with more features than you'll probably ever be able to use!
First off, to be totally honest, I am something of a Garmin Fan-boy. I own numerous Garmin products and have had great luck with all of them. The Fenix watch is no exception.I bought it when my VivoActive HR (which I've had since the summer of 2016) finally got so wonky that no amount of power cycling or factory resets would help. I was looking at the Epix but the Fenix had all the features that I was interested in except the AMOLED screen and was quite a bit less expensive. After reading some reviews where the reviewer was not happy with the AMOLED screen in full sun, I decided to go with the Fenix, and I am not disappointed. I got the 47mm as I have small wrists and didn't want it to look like I was wearing a dinner plate instead of a watch. But the screen is still ver clear and readable.I have only had the watch for a couple of days and I will update this review after I have lived with it for a while. My advice to you? Read the manual. This watch can do so much that it's mind-boggling. It'll take a while to learn all of the functions. Stay tuned!

Best Garmin yet!!
I am a self-admitted exercise and adventure fanatic, and have owned a plethora of fitness watches including Apple Watch, Samsung galaxy, polar vantage M2, a garmin fenix 5, and most recently decided to splurge on the garmin fenix 7s.And wow was that a great decision- I think this is the one that finally turned me into a Garmin fan for life! Warning- long review below:PROS:- I know some people don’t like touch screen, but for me it makes a huge difference in how easy the watch is to use. One issue I had with my fenix 5 is that it was button control only, which was overwhelming for me with all of the menus…but touchscreen is a huge improvement for me! There is also an option to turn off touchscreen completely if you prefer.- size options- the issue I had with the vantage M2 and fenix 5 is that they were both just too large for my wrist and actually really ended up irritating my skin. But the size of the 7s is perfect and should work really well for those with small wrists.- interface- again, the fenix 5 interface was just clunky to me. The interface on the M2 was better, but personally I find the fenix 7 interface the easiest and smoothest to use.- garmin connect app- one negative for me when I had the M2 was that the polar app was just clunky and difficult to use for some tasks! Well lo and behold, the garmin app has gotten some great updates and is much easier to use. The fenix 7 also interacts with the app much more smoothly than the m2 ever did.- accuracy- all wrist based trackers will have their margin of error, but I have and always will feel that garmin tends to be one of the more accurate. I did have some issues with accuracy on the fenix 5 and M2 just bc they were too large for my wrist, but so far that seems to have been resolved just by the better fit/smaller size of the fenix 7.- data! Data data data! As a medical professional and hiker/trekker, garmin really scratches my itch for in depth data, and also make it relevant in terms of performance, how to improve, and health. Super job on this!CONS- while it is much improved with the fenix 7s, I do still have to be judicious in giving my skin breaks from the watch. My skin is very sensitive and I get contact dermatitis easily, but this is nothing garmin specific- I had big issues with skin irritation with Samsung and apple too. On the bright side, garmin does offer a whole section about skin care on their help page which is helpful!- too much data for some- I work in the medical field and love exercise physiology, so for me the more data the better! I also am constantly exercising and going on long treks/adventures so garmin really gives great insights. But this is way, way too much data for the casual gym goer- Apple Watch is a much better choice for that crowd.- Bluetooth- you do still need Bluetooth connection to sync the watch with your phone. Which, I don’t love keeping Bluetooth on on my phone if I’m out of the house so I end up just syncing once a day. Not a huge problem, but does delay being able to dig into your info on the app.- finally, price- garmin does a great job giving value for price but still, the cost of this watch was up there. Worth it for high level athletes and trekkers, but again it’s an awful lot for the average casual gym goer who would get overwhelmed by the info.FINAL THOUGHTSIf you are a high level athlete who really needs in depth insight into your exercise phys and training, or someone who often goes on long hikes/treks/expeditions, the fenix 7 is a dream, and I think the best watch garmin has put out yet!If you’re a casual gym goer or just aren’t into/don’t need a lot of data in your life….the fenix 7 is not for you. Apple Watch, Samsung galaxy, or a Fitbit variation is much better value if you fall into this crowd.

Amazing watch
My husband has had 3 incarnations of Garmins watches and he absolutely loves this one. This one works for casual wear and business casual alike. We plan on getting different straps so that he can make a suit look good! The battery life is amazing (depending on how many widgets you utilize of course) and the functionality is very intuitive. Keep up the good work Garmin!

Great good looking and easy to use.
This is a great watch, very sturdy and nice looking. The battery life is simply amazing, as in 1 week and still have 40 percent power remaining! I took one star for the lack of apps available and the bands are either ridiculously priced (from Garmin) or cheap crap . It would be nice to have access to Android apps!

Checks all the boxes for those looking for utility.
If you're looking for a smart watch to match a "tiny phone on my wrist" use-case like an apple or Android watch, this isssnt quite what you're looking for.Don't get me wrong, this watch does so much to be excited about. This watch is fantastic for utility work, novice and advanced fitness, good navigation, and fantastic health stat tracking, all without a phone needed. You can download various apps for various uses, somewhat like you can on your phone in that it appears to be accessible to app creators to make useful apps outside of factory-made Garmin ones (which are still great). My absolute favorite feature is the light on this watch. NOT a screen brightness app, NOT a goofy dim novelty light, an actual LED flashlight is in this watch and I use it every day! I also use the sleep tracking and, well, all of the health stats every day and I can't imagine using a watch that wouldn't tell me things light what my body battery is nowHighly recommend if you want a watch that is long-lasting (24 days on a charge with min sun light), extremely utility-friendly (you can navigate with touch screen or with buttons when you have gloves on), and looks great for less than luxury brands.

Indifferent
I wish I was a chronic watch techie so my review could be a little more comparative. It probably also isn’t helpful that I’m a female and this watch is massive. It was gorgeous and battery life phenomenal, but I had to return due to the weight and thickness of the Watch band. I think it’d be perfect for someone with thick wrists really into the garmin app or features it provides. I don’t like that with the Spotify feature you have to shuffle songs and can’t view the playlist. I also think the gps map was mediocre, if it had been more detailed and less laggy I probably would’ve kept it. 1000 is too much for this watch in my opinion, I think if the fenix’s went for 300 less a piece they’d sell wayy more, especially with all the competition these days
