Plucks everything in its path
Wow this this is strong, picks up all the tiny hairs and massive hairs alike, and doesn't catch the skin up too much. Love all of the attachments, especially the trimmer - super handy. Unsure of battery life or general longevity of the product, but very impressed on my first go round. This is probably my fourth or fifth epilator over the years, and my favourite so far.

Effective but painful
Ouch!So I'm a newbie to epilating after trying every hair removal method including waxing, shaving, Veet strips, removal cream, etc.My legs are rather sensitive - I didn't know that until I used this epilator. I'd done my research and read that this one would be less painful as I could use it in the shower. It took me about an hour to do both legs - only from ankle up to knee, mind. (That was enough!)I had to go over a few places, even though I was moving the epilator slowly, there were still a few hairs that weren't picked up.I used the stretcher head thingy that says it helps to pull the skin to decrease the pain levels - nope. The light is pretty cool though, allowing you to see where the hairs are. After my first epilating session in the shower, I applied aloe vera aftersun cream. 2 days after I'd epilated I started getting red bumps that looked like a shaving rash. It was so itchy! I used E45 anti itch cream which prevented me from looking like I've got hives on my legs. 7 days after the first epilating session I epilated again. My legs were kind of back to normal, but I'd read that it gets easier! Haha WELL. Guess who got brave? As in bikini line brave. Yes, well let's just say I will not be doing that again. The ease of not having to shave every other day does not compensate for the pain, itchiness and ingrown hairs I was getting! However, the product is very well made. It comes with a charging light that flashes if it needs charging. It has a built in light and a foil head for wimps like me who can't hack the real deal. I'm still getting my money's worth but I'm still picking out those ingrowns 4 weeks after I initially used it!

As a first time epilator user, I found it effective and not too painful
Never used an epilator previously so wasn't sure about their effectiveness and was also a bit nervous about the potential pain. However, pain wise, it was OK on my legs and although my eyes watered a bit when I did my 'tash', it was no worse than tweezers and a lot quicker and more effective. Don't think I'll be using it on bikini line or underarm though - I'm not a masochist lol - but will use the included shaver head for those areas. My legs were in their wintry hairy state so I did have to go over the same area a few times, but they were left smooth and hair free, as was my upper lip. I also liked the fact that the epilator arrived charged so I could use it straight out of the box and the various heads are easy to attach/detach.

Not recommended
I would not recommend this shaver as it does not remove all the hairs. My old Braun one was more painful but it never left hairs . This takes me triple or more time and still not a perfect shave on long hairs on legs . It works very well on bikini area. I think it needs thicker hairs

So disappointed
Was so excited to buy this product after seeing it named as the 2nd best epilator of 2019 (1st place one was nearly £300 so way out of my price range) but now that I've used it I'm so disappointed.I've had the same simple epilator for 12 years so wanted to replace it with something newer to make my life easier - turns out newer does not equal better!!I am not overly hairy, no more than any other woman, so epilating has never been a mammouth task before, until I used this product. It does not get anywhere near all of my leg hairs (which I left to grow out for 2 days after shaving). It misses or totally refuses to grab even the coarser/more obvious hairs. This product does not grab the shortest hairs either as it had promised. I found that it mostly breaks the hairs rather than plucking them. Left with little dark spots as if the hairs are growing back immediately! The light doesn't help either - I am looking at my legs now in natural daylight and there are so many missed hairs in places I know that I took extra time on. There is no way I'm using the device incorrectly either - it just isn't as good as was promised. I also found it to be slow and extremely noisy.Very disappointed. Waste of 50 quid. Going back to using my old "rubbish" epilator. Wish I'd put the money I spent on this product towards saving up for another one.Not a happy (or hair-free) bunny.

Works very well
It has been over a decade that I use epilators and have tried different brands. But non of them were as good as the Philips ones. I'm really happy with my purchase.

Good product
This is a good product. It's easy to use, the battery lasts a fair amount of time. I wish it worked when plugged in, and that there was a rubber stopper to cover the plug bit at the back when using in the bath/shower, but that's just me. I've tried all the attachments, but as with my old one, I find the guards a bit naff. I do enjoy trimmer and lady-shave add-ons and am glad I paid a bit extra for the model with these.
