Perfect ending!
I feel “full” with this books ending. It left nothing unsaid for me! Everyone came of age perfectly and all learned the lessons they needed. Willing or otherwise.. I loved the uniqueness of this authors work and I am definitely an new fan! This was like Black Panther, meets Lord of the rings, meets Harry Potter... ( and I only say the Harry Potter reference because it is a story of 4 friends)

…Still a great read
I must admit I fought to finish this book at first. I had an expectation of this book based on the first book, but at some point I released that completely. This book is perfect for the second book because you truly see Sunny evolve not just in the Leopard world but with her family. She finds balance and she discovers a new layer of herself. Like her spirit face at times Sunny definitely got on my nerves with the self doubt, but I managed to give her grace. This ended up being a wonderful second installment that I just couldn’t put down. Number 3 is on the way

Enjoyable
Fast paced, throwing, complex, and innovative. I enjoyed the exotic adventure, as Sunny continues her destiny. The main climax seems to culminate too quickly, and there are a few jarring references to pop culture that don’t seem to fit, but other than that it’s an amazing ride.

Great story for young teens through adults
I loved this well written, entertaining sequel to Akata Witch. It is a bit scary for younger readers, but will keep more adventurous kids and adults turning the pages with excitement. The characters are engaging and well developed, and the setting gives an old storyline (kids go on a magical adventure to save the world) a new perspective.

The stories woven like a fine but strong web throughout this wonderful saga ...
The stories woven like a fine but strong web throughout this wonderful saga are sure to cling to your soul for a life time. African tales are unique, allegorical and timely especially when they are blended with an American sensibility that creates an entirely current vibe which speaks to the newest tribe in the diaspora. Sensational. When is the movie coming...These four friends are OUR Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny.

Outstanding
Nnedi O. has outdone herself once again with the enthralling sequel to The Akata Witch. Akata Warrior is a masterful medley of humor, suspense, mystery, magic & much more! Nnedi’s crafting of words manages to captivate all of the reader’s 5 senses & pulls you into Sunny & her friends’ magical journey on the continued quest to save humanity. ALL of the characters (major, minor & magical) come alive, especially our beloved Sunny, with the impeccable depths of character Nndedi creates. However, I’m slightly disappointed as the ending leaves an inkling of yet another possible installment that I’ll have to be forced to wait patiently on again. What do the Oha have in store as they go on another amazing journey to retrieve Udide’s precious possessions? Will Anansi be woven the next tale? Until then, I think I can read this book one more time! Akata Warrior was outstanding.

A unique world
I did not like this book as much as the first one. The story felt more episodic, like a television series, while the first book was more a unified whole. I still enjoyed the book, but the first one, I couldn't put down--I just wanted to read it all. This one turned into one I'd pick up and read for a bit, put down for a day or two, and then I'd come back to. I'm still glad I read it, and I'll gladly read the next in the series. Overall, I still love the world created in this book, and I've grown attached to the characters.
