Quality is Improved - No Issues
Needed some mounting rings to swap the ear pads on my HE4XX Headphones. I saw these as an affordable option with quick shipping, but the reviews had me nervous.Ignore the reviews talking about flimsy and cheap plastic. I was being extremely cautious at first, but quickly realized I didn't have much to worry about. I was able to bend a fair amount without feeling fear of cracking or strain on the brackets. This made for an easy install.I then noticed the product page has an updated video talking about the change of material after listening to buyer feedback. Again, don't listen to the bad reviews. Quality Replacement that worked well for my needs. 5/5.

Great quality
Super well made thick plastic, easy to install new pads. The thickness makes fitting the mounting ring back onto the driver housing a little bit tricky. Great way to add a better fitting, more comfortable, attractive earpads and change the sound.

Very brittle plastic, poor replacement
I spent $11 to make sure I had fresh rings to replace when I did new earpads on my HE-4XX, unfortunately these ended up being a waste of money. They are not flexible enough and snap easy. Brittle plastic. The rings themselves snapped, the latching parts snapped and chipped. Breaking all over.I thought this was just a super hard install, but I actually ripped my OEM rings off my old headphones to attempt to use those rings because I had nothing to lose since I ruined these new ones. They just had minor glue residue left behind, but those even being almost 5 years old were drastically more flexible. After messing around with these rings and cracking them in multiple places and failing to install after 10 minutes or so, I got my reclaimed OEM rings installed with ease in around 30 seconds per side with zero cracking.Thought I was being extra precautious in getting extra rings be unfortunately I highly advise against these. They are clearly using a different much more poorly suited plastic. I will say dimension wise they were an identical replacement, but the difference in plastic type played a massive role in how these install. Maybe I got a bad batch or ones poorly stored.
