Error in assembling instructions
Lamps are great, but the directions were flawed. Instructions state to pull on the cord to take up the slack in order to screw the socket fitting onto base. This can not be done as there is an electrician’s knot inside the lamp base. In order to pull cord to install socket one must remove felt table protector from bottom of lamp base then pry out the cardboard to revile the cords. Pull excess cord feeding the socket and stuff in lamp base. Replace cardboard and felt pieces.

Cost Effective Modernization
Had old hand me down lamps in our bedroom that seriously dated the space. These were a cost effective solution to modernize. We really like the style and the are the perfect size for our nightstands. Not a big fan of the shades and method of attachment (Velcro) to the shade frame. However, they look fine visually.

Very poor assembly instructions.
Cannot use lamp without shortening the power cord at the socket end. Instructions provided show pulling it out the hole in the base. Cannot do it. Even after removing the plastic from the hole, the cord does not pull. The shades have velcro along the edges to assemble the shade material on the top and bottom rings, with no instructions for that. If I'd known it was a do-it-yourself lamp kit, I would not have purchased it. Tried to post s pic but it didn't work. But there's about 3.5-4 inches of extra cord and no place to put it.

JUNK!!!!!
Do not buy these!! I own a furniture store and have literally put thousands of lamps together! Never have I seen junk like this! Terrible!

Assembly necessary.
I wouldn’t have bought the lights if I knew everything had to be assembled. Switches are on lamps backside is convenient no way to change unless you or tighten.
