Smart Phone Camera Grip
This works very well. I have model MSG-U1. It has always felt awkward using my smart phone as a camera. For years I used a 35mm camera. With this camera grip the phone now feels more like a real camera. The grip can used as a camera stand as well and the shutter release can be easily removed and used as a remote shutter release. It can also be mounted on a standard tripod for taking group shots and selfies. It comes with a USB A to USB C charging cable and a wrist strap. Wonderful product.

Love this!
Excellent quality, and value; very smooth, sturdy materials; versatile, and easy to use. Getting that little tool back in place is a bit tricky for my arthritic fingers, but, when taking pictures, l really prefer the feel of a camera, and this nifty gadget does the trick for me. Would make a great gift.

Fits my iphone 15 max pro with thin case well
I ordered this camera grip to be used with my iPhone 15 pro max. This grip is made well has several good features. I like that it has the remote feature. The small remote is easy to remove and comes with a little USB Type C charging cable. The instructions state that the remote has an operating distance of 32’. Pairing the remote to my phone was tricky. The instructions tell you to hold the button in for 3 seconds until the first indicator flickers. My result was a blue light that flashed 3 times, but my Bluetooth didn't see it. After an hour of trying, I pushed the button and released it the moment I saw the blue light come on, and that worked. I didn't wait for the flicker. Once paired successfully, the remote functions very well. If there was a delay when I took my photos, it wasn't noticable to me. Now, powering off the remote is where this grip falls short. While the remote is in the grip, the indicator light is hidden. Even after taking it out so I could see the light, it wasn't useful to see if the remote was on or off. The only way to tell was to put it back in the grip and try taking a photo. If it triggered a photo, I pushed the button once, then tried again. That's the only way I could tell to ensure the remote was powered off. While I was trying to pair it to my phone, I noticed the remote battery light would go red fairly quick, which is only apparent when it's plugged into the USB cable. I suspect this little remote will need frequent charging, dependant on how long it's used of course. There's a nifty flip out stand feature. I can get my phone to stand nearly vertical, which will be handy while using the remote. I don’t have a tripod, so this feature I’m not likely to use. A lanyard is included that can be put on the grip, if desired. I often fumble my phone while taking photos and video, so this grip looked like something that would help with that. My iPhone with its common thin case fits into the grip easily, however I did need to remove my stick-on finger ring from the back of the case. Once on the phone, the grip is very comfortable to hold and feels quite natural. I wish my shutter button wasn’t on the same side as the grip so that I didn’t have to crossover with my opposite hand to take the photo when not using the remote, but that's not something that can be helped. Overall, this is a good grip methinks. It will certainly help me with holding onto the phone while taking my occasional pics and videos. At this price point of $30, I'd likely shop around if I were to purchase another one.

Wish I had it sooner
You can take a picture with any phone. I'm still going to hold on to my cameras. Regardless of that, for the first time in a while I'm actually excited to do phone photography. This guy will really jazz up your pics. Easily attaching to a tripod, accommodating additional lighting, remote control, these are all great additions. I'm dumb I guess, but somehow the little flip out kick stand function tickles me especially. You can get a phone kick stand at every gas station in America but this just feels so over-engineered and fun. Even if you're not a photo enthusiast you'd probably get a kick out of this.

Camera Feel for Your Phone
As a photographer the thing I dislike about using my cell phone for quick shots is that it just feels weird to use to click the shutter button and hold. So when this appeared I wanted to give it a try. The nice thing is that it makes your cell phone feel like a camera. The clip holds on to your phone well but be aware of button placement on your phone because the clips may press your power of volume button. You can adjust how the phone is held so you can place it in landscape or portrait mode and the case can double as a cell phone stand which I thought was extra cool. The camera button is removable from the case and works well with the main camera app but if you try to use a third party app, the button may not work, depending on the app. So in my case I use the Sony app to take pictures on my camera via my phone and in this case, the clicker doesn't work. No big deal, just something to take not of.

Not useful for my Pixel 8 Pro
This is a very well thought out and designed product that has a lot of features packed in it making it very versatile. Unfortunately it's not suitable for my Pixel 8 Pro. The way this product is configured I'm unable to put this on my phone and have it be balanced and useful. The power and volume buttons on the side of my phone are pretty much in the center and I haven't found a way to put this product on my phone without it changing the volume or activating my voice assistant. If I move this up or down the phone to avoid those buttons, it makes it really unbalanced which means I can't use it as a stand or hold it comfortably in my hand and use it as a camera. It's possible it might be able to fit properly if I took the case off my phone, but I don't want to go through all that to make this useful. Also the clamps that hold the phone in place are really tight making it difficult to spread them apart and put the phone in. And when I took it out the clamps snap back really hard. I was worried it would harm my screen when I had the screen facing in. All that said, the remote control works well. I'm glad I can salvage that feature out of this. I'm bummed about this review because I was impressed by all it has to offer and it's made with solid thick plastic making it really sturdy. This product isn't for me, but if you have a smaller lighter phone where the buttons on the side are not near the center then it will work well for you.

Quasi perfetto

Great quality and very comfortable
I use this partly to attach my phone securely to a tripod when recording timelapses, and also just to hold when taking photos. I find it's great when going for a photography walk as it makes your phone feel more like an actual camera. The built quality is great, feels nice and solid - and the shutter button connected without an issue. It's removable to so great for off-camera triggering for either group photos or to reduce camera shake when on a tripod. Highly recommended.

I didn't expect this quality!
I must admit, when I ordered this I thought it was going to be a bog standard phone holder with a screw mount for tripods. It is that of course but so much more. The attention to detail and when you use it for a bit you realise some of the design choices are very clever.OK, firstly - the materials are top notch, the grip is a nice soft touch plastic, the rest of it is sturdy plastics. It can hold almost every phone in portait and landscape - it almost feels like you are holding a dedicated camera. The removable button remote is easy to pair which brings me onto an unexpected nice touch - the remote button is held in place with magnets. This means it won't wear out no matter how many times you pull it out and push it in as it isn't friction based - it also means when you slide it back in the magnets 'grab it' into place. It feels premium and every time I've used it I've appreciated it. You can also 'unfold' the holder to use it as a stand - do you know what holds it place when you just want it in regular mode? The same magnet that holds the remote in - very clever design. This is a five star product, no doubt about it, but I have had two small niggles which I definitely wouldn't knock a star off for but I'll mention:The screw on my Manfrotti tripod couldnt screw far enough into the holder so I had to use a penny washer to bridge the gap (you'll see it on my photos). When changing it from a portrait to a landscape holder you need a hex bit to unscrew it - the screw is recessed, you can't do it by hand. The instructions seem to shows a type of tiny hand held tool but if it was supposed to come with in the box either I lost it or it was missing.Other than the nit-picking above I'm very impressed indeed.

Feels just like using a "normal" camera - rattle off shots comfortably - great device
This is a really interesting device - a simple and well designed smart phone holder that makes taking photos with your smart phone (in my case an iPhone) feel much more natural and controlled.Although it really is very very simple it takes a few minutes to work out how to use it though - you have to attach it to the back of your phone (with the screen facing towards you) and with the shutter mechanism at the right hand side (so that it doesn’t interfere with with the phone lenses) - this (for me) takes a few seconds to work out whenever I attach it … but once it’s correctly in place it works brilliantly. There is a small rechargeable removable Bluetooth shutter trigger that you pair with your phone and then whenever you press the “shutter button” you take a photo. It probably isn’t ideal for that sudden unexpected shot that you are inspired to take because something special has just happened but if you are going to an event and know that you will be taking loads of photos then this device is pretty amazing - it feels just like using a “normal” camera and you can rattle off shots really comfortably and naturally. It also connects to a tripod and the removable bluetooth shutter trigger acts as a remote (plus it has a “cold” (ie not powered) flash holder if you take your photography a little more seriously) Great device.
