Business Development Body of Knowledge (BD-BOK): Business Development Professional (BDP) Certification Handbook Paperback – January 30, 2023

I found out about the Global Business Development Association (GBDA) and the certification and enjoyed reading Business Development Body of Knowledge (BD-BOK): Business Development Professional (BDP). The book had a lot of information packed into it. From start to finish it was a straightforward book to read. Would I recommend the book? Yes.There was nothing in the book that I disliked.

Great resource and very well written, ties together business development and project management very well.

I found the kindle version of this book very useful for my BDP Certification exam. Also, the book provided useful content about Business Development.

I recently learned about the Business Development Body of Knowledge (BD-BOK). The level of research and supporting resources is excellent. The BD-BOK brings together a wide range of concepts from, among many, psychology, physiology, project management, and yes, sales and marketing too. This helped contextualize the business development profession and how it is related to other business functions. As a long time public sector consultant, business development was not a new concept to me, but did not have the holistic perspective provided in the BD-BOK. I look forward to incorporating the concepts I've learned in this book and to continuing to build my business development skills. I recommend this book to anyone looking to get into business development or to gain a more complete understanding what BD is and what a BD practitioner provides to a business.

Not only will you learn 'Business Development,' but you will learn every aspect of BD, marketing, sales, and how each person in the organization - from the receptionist to the CEO - is important to the cause. I keep it as a reference manual, and feel that there was no stone unturned.

I liked how easy this BD-BOK was to read. There was an incredible amount of research done to provide credible information to explain all the concepts. This BD-BOK is applicable to all businesses in both the public and private sector. Highly recommend purchasing this book to develop an understanding of business development.

This is a very comprehensive and informative BoK. It breaks down the BD process and provides create illustrations to follow an evidence-based process.

Want to know what it's like to work in Business Development? The BDBOK has every nook and cranny covered and includes the neuroscience behind the development of the sales techniques and client/customer responses. Very informative, and I highly recommend for any level of business development professional.
