Other sizes groups such as group 35 was a better fit but the specs weren't as good
My new 2018 Outback had an, in my opinion, under powered battery. A group 34r AMG Diehard has exactly what I was looking forMy battery is a group 25 and has the reverse post position, the red pos on the old is where the negative is on the new, the.post are reversed. The size of the new battery is different also. After careful measurements, it would be a close fit but it should fit.Other sizes groups such as group 35 was a better fit but the specs weren't as good.I decided to go for the group 34r Diehard and I'm happy I did!The new battery has worked out just as I hoped for. Powerful, winter ready, radio playing...all the things that you fear to use because of a weak battery are a thing of the past. Now I'll enjoy the car a lot more.

Perfect Fit!
I ordered the GP49 after I got stranded on Thanksgiving. I did some DIY research before it arrived and it didn’t seem too complicated. However when the battery arrived and I opened the battery compartment in the trunk it was a little intimidating because of all the wires. I took pictures of the battery and the cabling before and during replacement. The battery was a bit longer but there was another hole for the bottom clasp for larger or smaller battery. I covered the terminals inside gloves that I had so they wouldn’t touch anything. I put everything back the way it was and the car started right up. Just take pictures and get ready to do some lifting. Getting a second person to help pull the battery out would be best, it has 2 handles.

Only lasted one year, had problems getting refund.
Battery stated losing charge after a year. The reason I bought this on Amazon is because there were no local DieHard dealers, but I expected DieHard to honor the manufacturer warranty. THEY WON'T.Because there is no longer a Sears Auto Center here, I drove 2 hours to Atlanta to get a replacement. I was informed that I would have to contact Amazon for warranty service. So I called DieHard while at Sears Auto to try to get things clarified. When I called DieHard they said that I would have to get warranty service from Amazon and connected my call to Amazon customer service. Of course Amazon DOES NOT honor manufacturers' warranties and their warranty is only for 30 days. To Amazon's credit they were willing to refund my money even though it was way past the 30 days.Fortunately, the service manager at Sears took pity on me and gave me a new battery even though it was against policy.Long story short, if you have problems with the battery, be prepared to fight tooth and nail to get warranty service!!!

Installation Instructions
The Battery is not 8" Tall unless you use the included black plastic spacer which does not have a Hold Down Lip on it. This is what you need to do for a 2001 Nissian Altima. There is a stabilizing protrusion on the POS Cable that secures the Cable to the Battery Box that needs to be cut off and pushed through the hole so the Cable and be pushed down 1" to secure to the POS Battery Post.

Good battery
I accidentally bought this for our 2007 Honda Odyssey not realizing I needed the larger group 24F size...which is significantly bigger than this group 35 battery. I ended up getting the correct size, but for a few days used this one, and wow it had plenty of power to start the Odyssey very quickly. The G24F has a higher amp hour rating so it will have more reserve power, but this little battery seems pretty good. Anyway after buying the correct size battery, I decided to keep this one to use with an inverter for emergency power when needed since our house is in an area that sometimes gets hit by hurricanes. Seems like a good product.

Works great in 2014 maxda 3 with ieloop
We have a 2014 mazda 3 hatchback with ieloop and i was very concerned about changing the battery as there were lots of comments about needing a specific type of mazda battery or needing the dealer to do it. I replaced it with this battery and performed the recommended procedure you can find online (essentially after you install the battery you turn the car on and pump brakes a certain number of times disconnect and reconnect the battery) i dont remember the whole procedure but it was not that complicated. We have been running with this battery now for well of 6 months and have had no problems. Highly recommend.

Good battery but check the fit
this is five stars based on being a fully solid battery but the "fit" information is off. To be specific, it claims to fit my 2001 tacoma but when I installed it, it was too short. I did work around the issue by installing a piece of wood underneath to raise the battery up. I didn't want to knock a star off for just that, but it does bear mentioning. If you are willing to do a similar fix, then no issues (as long as it's too short and not too tall). If you're looking for a perfect fit, I recommend measuring the battery in your vehicle l x w x h and comparing with the dimensions listed.

Great for the first year, dead on the second
I picked up this battery because on paper it was as good as an Optima and came in a bit cheaper. Less than 2 years later it won't hold a charge. Now I know it's not the truck's fault, I put my very old optima in there 6 months ago and it's held up very well even sitting for a couple months at a time. Now all that being said, despite having a 3yr warranty I have yet to have anyone honor it. The nearest sears (over an hour drive) no longer stocks it, and the new local distributer won't honor anything that was not purchased through them. So now I have a $200 paper weight in my garage and bought a shiny new optima for my truck as I should have done in the first place. If you are going to get one of these, be sure to buy it local so you can exchange it when it goes bad.
