Q: Does this work for grinding malt for homebrew?

It worked for the two-row I ground for a SMASH ale (11 lbs two-row, 3/4 oz Amarillo at 60 minutes, 3/4 oz Amarillo at 2 minutes, 1/2 ounce dry hop, Nottingham yeast) that's in secondary right now. You can adjust it to grind pretty fine or leave it coarse if you like.

Q: How well does it work for grinding your own wheat (for baking bread)? I mean...does it grind too coarse or is it quite fine?

Could not grind well enough to make a baking wheat flour.

Q: Will this make cracked wheat?

I don't see why not ; it's easy to set it between very coarse and fine with each use.

Q: Can this grinder grind dry beans (kidney, garbonzo, navy, black)?

Grinding lentils in this is very easy. So I moved to pinto, half the price. Very difficult to grind pinto. You have to crank the plates wide apart, and it takes a lot more effort to grind compared to wheat. And of course, you must grind several times. You can grind the beans, but some are definitely easier than others.
