Excellent lights
I'm not an electrician and shy away from most DIY jobs, but these lights were easy to install and have been a great addition to the pond. Strong and powerful, they provide another pond experience. In fact, seeing the fish at night time is like observing another world. No regrets and the five light set up is exactly what I was after! My only criticism would be that there is just one of each colour filters (e.g. one red, one blue, one green)... for aesthetics, I would have preferred two of each as allows for symetrical lighting displays... but this is a small gripe, and I believe I can order additional filters online.Ten months on.Stopped working, but as under guarantee sent back to Amazon who will send replacement.

An excellent buy.
On unpacking the lights I was struck by how solidly-built they were. You can't really tell this from the photo. In fact, it's all good-quality, well-thought-out design with these lights. Setting them up took a while but that's down to our elaborate pond, stream and waterfall setup rather than a problem with the lighting system. Just to make things clear, what you get is a length of cable leading from the mains to a weatherproof transformer. Another cable plugs into the transformer (with a waterproof seal) and leads to a three-way connector. Here you attach (plug in) shorter cables to two of the lights, the other connection being to another length of cable. This leads to another three-way connector and the remaining lights plug into this. One of the light cables is much longer than the others, incidentally, which helps. Also supplied are two types of stand for each light.I set it up so that a light was in the pond, another illuminating an arbour, another lighting up the stream and path from afar, another close to the stream and another in the top pool, focussed on the waterfall. We had decided that the coloured lenses would be tacky and unnecessary. But in fact we used all three, as the colours are fairly subtle and help give a softer effect. Turning the lights on in daylight you could hardly tell the difference. But as soon as it's dark they give a lot of illumination, and are all much stronger than the solar-powered one we were using (which also only lasts a couple of hours at this time of year!).Since I bought them, they've been in use every evening to great effect and really finish off our pond project.

REPLACEMNT BULB SOLUTION to BLAGDON LED GARDEN LIGHT
I have had these for some time - over a year. The basic unit is well built and is water resistant provided that the screw cover that retains the glass and bulb is tight. I put a little Vaseline on the threads. Now for the problem. The bulbs. These just do not last very long, I have 10 of these lights and I have had 7 blow. They are two independent sets and on different transformers (yes - my mains supply is stable) and still they fail. Replacements are very expensive (around £12) HOWEVER I seem to have found a solution. Screwfix sell a bulb which appears to be compatible: It is a 12 Volt 2.9 Watt MR16 ( Part Number 7556P for a 5 off pack at around £11,00. They also sell them singly at around £3.00. It should be noted that the genuine Blagdon bulbs have a built-in plastic lens that concentrates the light output as a spotlight whereas the Screwfix unit has a light spread of 30 degrees. This should not be an issue though for General Illumination (GI). Do NOT be tempted to use higher wattage bulbs they may overload the transformer. Disclaimer - try this at your own risk. It may effect your warranty.

need to find replacement unit
These were easy to install after I figured out how to get the mains wiring through the wall, it's been 1 year and 3 days and 1 of the lights has stopped working so disappointed in this as they not been used often probably about 3 hours a night for about 4 months

Need to up their quality and effectiveness!
Used it for lighting my pond up as submerged lights. Give reasonable lighting but not what I expected compared to the old halogen ones I had which were much better and more powerful (would get them if they still made them (Laguna) or could get hold of!) . Most annoying and disappointing was the connections which were appalling and in the end I had to use strong black tape to secure. Not a bad price but would pay more for something better .

Makes the pond look lovely at night
Makes the pond look lovely at night. I bought the unit with three lights. The kit comes with three little trays that link together, each containing an individual lamp. Each lamp can then be moved both up and down and left and right, in order to aim the beam exactly where you want it.It's perfect and I'm very happy indeed.

great pond light for the price and cheap running costs
Only had the light for a month or so. Very pleased with it so far. Easy to set up and is submerged in 4ft of water and performing well. The light output is great considering it's less than 1 watt. I have purchased another light to give the pond a more balanced look. Beware that if your buying this light to try out before committing to buying the 3 or 5 light set that as far as I'm aware they are different. The 3 and 5 light sets are 3 watt bulbs in each light and they don't have the dusk till dawn sensor on them. Alot of sites do state this but it can be a little confusing as you'd expect them to all be the same specification.

Great product so far, wires slightly short!
Only just installed these lights, so far so good! One complaint the wires from the lights to the 3 way splitter are rather small, having a deepish pond made it difficult to get the wires to reach!
