Darice SA23005W 2-Pound Sands Alive Play Sand

I personally don't get the negative reviews. I bought this and two other brands of 'kinetic' sand and this one is by FAR my favorite. If you do as the directions say and let it 'air out' for 12-24 hours its perfect, but I personally put some in a sealed container to keep it from airing because I thought the kind of stretchy doughy consistency was really cool. The sand in this isn't as coarse as the sand in brookstone Sånd or kinetic sand. Its very fine and gives it a very soft and fluffy feeling which is great for stress relief by just running your hands through it. I've also noticed less of a mess with this than I have with my kinetic sand. I actually accidentally tipped the bowl I store mine in on my bed and I picked all of it up in one piece with no mess left behind. This sand will hold its shape pretty well compared to kinetic sand, but not as well if you pick a handful up and try to pack it into a ball, it'll just fall apart and act like other kinetic sands, just kind of in a fluffier way if that makes sense. I'd definitely reccomend picking this up for a child, grandchild or even for a teen or adult just looking for something to run their hands through (the soft texture is very nice), and I really prefer this over other brands with coarser sand in them.

Grand daughters love it. I've bought several pounds of it to keep in a large, low-sided storage type plastic tub they can use as a playground.It's not as "active" as the the other similar sands I've seen, meaning it doesn't keep moving and falling. More of a clay-like sand consistency. Not as course as another popular sand, too. Clean and consistent texture.They love it, though.It's pretty easy to clean up, but we have hardwood floors.

Awesome product that never dries out! Feels nice to play with. Easy to clean up if some does end up on floor (didn't try carpet). Was disappointed because I thought it was kinetic sand because it came up on a search for that. I should have looked at reviews. It doesn't have the neat "dripping" factor or hold together that kinetic sand has, so it feels kind of like overpriced white play sand mixed with cornstarch and glycerin (I'm guessing on the cornstarch). . But, even though it leaves a white powder on your hands after playing with it and doesn't clean up as easily as kinetic sand, and I wouldn't buy it again, my son is enjoying playing with it, he loves playing with sand in the house, and it is t too big a deal to wipe the table and sweep the area when he's done( or have him do it😊)

Very disappointed, it is soft sure, but it doesn't act at all like videos I have seen of before. I honestly just think this is a fake version or defective batch. First of all, ithe sticks all over my hands and clothes. Second, it just falls apart like regularge sand, not in the way you expect kinetic sand to act. It is so messy because it doesn't stick to itself. In conclusion I'm getting a refund soon, very upset!!!

This sand does not hold together like kinetic sand does. It is lightweight and fluffy. The six year old was frustrated when he was playing with it. Clean up was difficult because it did not stick together to pick up stray pieces that got away.

It's a good amount of sand - enough to put in a large round Tupperware for storage, and enough to use molds and to bury toys in. It's so soft that even the adults want to play with it. Just a warning for when you use it - clean the surface you're using before playing because dirt, dust, and pet hair gets stuck in it very easily.

My kids love this stuff! An awesome option for kids that like play doh and beach toys. Easy cleanup!
