A good introduction, but not a must have guide
I think the author may have over-promised and under-delivered. If an inexperienced or new grad nurse is looking to get into emergency medicine this might give a broad view, but not dialed in enough to really enable leveled up care. Where this might find a good market is, actually, IN nursing school. The language is clear, the content beginner-friendly and organized.

Lots of helpful insight
This book pretty much tells you everything you need to know when starting out as an emergency room nurse. There is a lot of basic knowledge and information of what the duties of a nurse consist are. The book gives step by step guidance for different types of injuries and illnesses. I feel as though most of the information is what you would receive in a basic EMT class, but overall it’s a good book.
