Good-looking, but easily broken
I gave them 5 stars because I like their look, their light weight, and their price on the day I purchased them. This is like the 20th pair of this type of reading glasses that I've purchased in my life. Here are the two giant downsides, imo:1. They break extremely easily. The product detail says something about the frame being "durable". These glasses are prone to break at the hinges and at the nose bridge. Maybe the frame will live on, but the weak spots are likely to break long before the frame does. Hence, why I've purchased so many :(2. They are not remotely adjustable -- not at all -- absolutely no adjustment. Either they fit the width of your head or they don't. They don't have spring hinges. They have absolutely no give in any direction. If one of your ears is lower than the other, you'll have to devise some sort of padding to help the glasses fit. They can last a very short time if you tend to be casual with your glasses. With extreme babying, they can last a long time.

One of my favorite readers for non blue light needs
I've purchased these glasses 11 times in differing strengths for different uses; lost some and some have cracked at connection points. First pair was purchased in 2017 and came with a brown translucent case - they had a slight tint for blue light blocking. They don't seem to produce those any longer, which I really miss. I do computer work for 8+ hours a day and blue light blocking is a necessity for me. I accidentally discovered that with these glasses, before blue light blocking became a marketing trend. Without the tint my eyes felt like they were on fire by the end of the day.I wear magnifying contacts of 1.50 for general use, and still need a 1.0 reader for computer use (progressive lenses didn't work for me, for computer use). Altec is no longer making the 1.0 strength, or tinting their lenses, so I use them only for watching TV if I don't have my contacts in, and I carry a pair in my purse for other needs while out and about.I pull off the silicone grips on the temple pieces because they pull my hair when taking them off and on - they stay on fine without those and it makes them even more lightweight. They'd be a 5.0 star if they still offered the tinted version and carried the 1.0 strength. By far my favorite magnifiers for comfort, just missing the tint and 1.0 option for my daily work needs.

Poor design and quality control. Glasses are laterally non-symmetric; lenses have unequal power
After testing my father with a near-vision chart, I bought him a pair of these eyeglasses of 2 diopters (marked AV RL2003 C7 R200 on one arm) based on the large number of positive reviews considered legitimate by an external website that spots review quality. (They are incorrectly labeled by Amazon in the review's heading as of 3 diopters.)1. Made by an unidentified manufacturer in China, these eyeglasses are distributed as the model AV RL-2003 of Altec Vision (a trademark held by Megalowmart Holdings, now under FSM Technology) and are sold here by a subsidiary selling products of brands owned by FSM Technology.2. They are rimless glasses with a plastic frame and plastic lenses. The frame's arms are made of TR90 nylon, a thermoplastic flexible and lightweight, while the bridge is made of a hard and fragile-looking plastic material having a cross section of 0.13" x 0.1" (3.4 x 3.3 mm). Depending on how carefully a wearer removes the glasses, in particular with only one hand grabbing one of the arms, non-trivial flexion force can be applied to the bridge, which may explain negative reviews about the bridge breaking. The outer edge of each lens attaches firmly to the corresponding arm via a screw and a hex nut. The inner edge, however, is attached much less firmly with a screw that goes through the bridge and screws into a hole in the end of the nose pad. Overtightening this screw will easily strip the machine-threaded hole in the very thin metal of the nose-pad end, as also complained in other reviews.3. All the screws have slotted heads. The Altec Vision website shows the same RL-2003 model with Philips head screws, which are self-centering and easier to adjust, with less risk of the screwdriver slipping and scratching the lens. This change to less expensive screws is a cheap downgrade in quality.4. Their quality control can be remarkably poor and sloppy. The glasses had one lens thicker and with more dioptric power than the other, being +2.0 D for the left eye and +3.0 D for the right eye. This is shown in my figure, where the glasses were photographed from above with their lower edge up (so their unfolded arms kept the lenses almost vertically oriented); on the right-side panel, a black cardboard was inserted under the glasses to make more notable thickness differences at the lower edge of the lenses (circles).5. Further, as shown by the blue arrows marking the center of the left and right frame hinges against a 15-cm ruler, whose 7.5-cm midpoint is aligned with the midpoint of the bridge (black arrows), the left and right half of the glasses have different sizes (that is, they do not end at the same distance from the midpoint of the bridge). Though the difference is not very large, the visual axis of each eye will not coincide with the optical center of the respective lens, thus degrading optical quality of the image. This lateral asymmetry is not due to differences in the size of the lenses, as both are 49 mm (rather than the claimed 50 mm) in maximal width, but to a difference in the size of the plastic pieces between each frame's arm and the respective lens. This is an astoundingly poor design for glasses.6. The glasses were returned for a refund and not an exchange.

Best Readers I've Found!
I've been wearing these readers for 6 years, difference magnifications as the years go by. The are truly the best. Comfortable and well made, never had one break or come apart. I'm a front line healthcare worker and I wear an eye shield with a nose bridge constantly. The eye shield fits perfectly with the readers. No nose discomfort whatsoever. I wish that they made 2.75 magnification. These are the best readers I've purchased. They are so light you don't even feel as though you are wearing glasses. They are worth it and the best!KaCapri

Just buy them!!
I recently started wearing contacts again which makes me need readers, I took a chance in these because I liked that they were clear and not very noticeable. Wow! Was I impressed! Not only are they great looking and very lightweight, they also came with an eyeglass cleaner, eyeglass repair kit and a really great plastic case to keep them in! So much more than I expected! I initially ordered 4 pair but will now orderMore to keep them at work, in the car, my purse and every room in the house!! Buy them!!

Great price for the weight
When I looked at these I was not sure what they meant by "lightweight". I can tell you now: they are 13 grams. I have paid more for 18 g glasses that will be uncomfortable to me after 15 minutes. And I have paid double for a pair that were 12 g. So half price for 13 g is a great value if you are truly most interested in lightweight. Cannot really say too much about durability at this point (they are new) but they don't seem fragile to me. I will buy them again.
