Haven't used Canon genuine flashes, but this one is a really impressive flash. Good value for money.

For studios this is an excellent flash. It can be used with a camera or used independently by connecting over wifi. When connected the camera can be the master and this flash can be the receiver so when the camera flash goes off this can go off simultaneously.The speed of the flash is easy within the milliseconds range so it's almost instant whereas most bult in camera flashes have a slight delay and can take up to one second to go off, which explains why many shots of moving objects are missed by the time the shot has been taken. To get the best shots of moving objects such as birds, planes etc. etc. it is critical that the shot is taken as soon as a button is pressed and the flash is set off in much less than a second.The brightness of the flash is amazing and it is genuinely a strobe flash for rapid shots thus making it a great flash for taking studio shots of people moving around and posing. The faster the shots are taken the better they are and the more to chose from.The build quality of this product is very good, it's solid and it's strong. The battery is so easy to insert and remove as it is inserted into an external slot so there are no covers to open up thus batteries can be changed rapidly and with ease.As for the settings, there are many of them and it will take a bit of time for me to learn them. One of the settings is a zoom setting so one can set the digital zoom parameter to get the correct level of light as the flash goes off. The setting can be accessed via the touch screen display but what I really like is that whereas some products are touchscreen, some have dials and some use buttons, this product has all three. One can enter a setting and either use the touchscreen to change it or use the dial around the centre button.For a flash this product performs as well as I would expect of a high end product and it can be used alongside more of the same product so one can have numerous flashes in different positions and different locations all going off simultaneously to get the best results.I am impressed with this flash as it is of very good quality and value so I am recommending it.

I'm no expert when it comes to cameras or flashes but having a good choice and range of items has always been the benefit of having some cameras. This speedlite offers great compatibility for canon cameras and has some handy features for helping to take good quality photos and in great lighting conditions.This is a Roundhead speedlite with some great features which include great levels of power outdoor of around 100w so should provide decent levels of reach.The Roundhead has some nice natural style light which should help create more natural photos.And most hand it has a small touch screen display which is easy to operate and and fine tune the camera flash setup.The features are numerous for this camera and id only recommend you take the time to review all the features as it has plenty of them. Price wise it is great value for money and offers great levels of performance.I'd absolutely recommend this to either beginners as well as professionals. Great quality and perfect match for you canon camera.

Received the item, happy with what's in the box. Tested with my Canon 5D mark 4, worked fine. Not too pleased with the box as it wasn't sealed and indication was it was already opened and may have been used.

Great compatibility, great power, great build quality and great performance. Although the price is quite steep, this is a good piece of kit.
