Been waiting for this book for a while. Got up early this morning to download the Kindle version, and ... wow.Miller sums it up perfectly when he says on page 6 that the "world does not need another book about the philosophy of coaching." It doesn't. What we need, and what we now have, is a step by step guide to how to make a business out of coaching.My next step is action. I changed my LinkedIn to add the word "coach" today, but you'll be seeing some more from me, quickly, because I now have a guide.After this intro, this is the path the book takes:A menu of products to sell to the client. For anyone to care about coaching, it has to be more than "x per hour, please." You get a whole guide.A way to create and manage a potential client list.How to get your website right. Miller has been king of this space for a long time and helping coaches in this important step just makes sense.How to write the emails you need to do this. Same.The client journey. Again, this is Miller at his strongest. Storybrand translates so well here - and he carefully walks you through the process.Goal setting. Geared toward Business Coaches…applicable to all!
So far, this book has been an information packed, easy read. It gives you the exact steps to take to launch and scale your coaching business while providing confidence that it isn’t as difficult as we make it out to be.I knocked off one star only because the book is boldly geared toward business coaches and I did not understand that when ordering. However, Miller does address that upfront and shares that the example ideas are business based, but the framework will apply to all types of coaches! I’ve been in this industry long enough to know he is absolutely right! Life coaches will just need to think through the examples differently (but that also means your coaching business will be more tailored to you 😉).

Good book with helpful ideas for your coaching business
I have read two books by Don Miller, including "Coach Builder." This book covers various topics with helpful examples, such as developing your services and product mix, creating a customer roster, practical examples of estimating the number of customers needed per revenue stream, building a website with visuals for examples, drafting sales emails, establishing a marketing funnel, setting business objectives, joining a community for support, and managing the customer/coach dynamic. I accidentally bought the digital version and had to purchase the physical copy because I find it easier to take notes and follow up on the exercises.The other book I read was "How to Expand Your Small Business," which was another helpful read with many tips and worksheets.

The usual front-end product
I have read a lot of works by this author, but this book, in particular, is a mishmash of many pieces from the old books, assembled somewhat like a front-end product targeting the audience: coaches and consultants. For those who have already read the previous books, there is very little new content.I expected much more.
