Every Christmas for the last 10+ years, I've baked cakes to give to family and friends instead of giving them a card (more personal). One of the ingredients is crushed pineapple. For the last 2 - 3 years, it's been neigh-on impossible to get crushed pineapple, so this year I decided to make my own. Using this machine I achieved the perfect results and exactly what I was after. The machine is very well made and without too many fancy settings that no one ever uses. I will be more than happy to buy the same one if ever this one faults 👌

Bought this as a gift. So glad I did, we now make healthy gorgeous smoothies with frozen fruit all year round. Using the smoothie setting it automatically changes speed and stops when it's done. With a matching kettle and toaster the kitchen looks so trendy.

Poor design. This looks great. But the reality of daily usage shows some flaws. The base unit is hard to clean, with the main driver cog specially difficult. The disassembly required to get the blade out is tiresome. The first use the liquid escaped into the bottom seal requiring completely unscrewing the bottom assembly. The cord tidy is ok but you can only neatly route the cable out to a socket on two of the four sides. There are better designs than this on the marketplace.

The item was faulty and replaced by seller, excellent customer service & would have no hesitation buying from this seller again, think I was just unlucky as no probs with other SMEG products.

This item is faulty. The law says that for electrical goods they should be returned to the seller within 6 months. I contacted the seller, they have fobbed me off with applying to Smeg, the manufacturer.1. I have used this blender 4 times to make simple smoothies, each time for short bursts. The smell of electrical burning each time has been concerning. Today I put it on the automatic clean cycle with only water inside and the electrical burning smell is so bad I dare not use it again.Honestly, this aside, it is also a pretty rubbish blender, which just throws the chuncks of fruit to the side, without blending them. I am going back to a nutrition bullet.FAULTY GOODS, RUBBISH SELLER, TERRIBLE DESIGN.Update: Seller admits they recieved faulty return on 6th, (today is 14th) promised they would process on Monday, now Thursday -nothing heard. Nice looking (well, I think so..); sturdy base and useful cord tidy.Not the cheapest one the market and you wouldn't expect that.The jug/blade assembly is Tritan with stainless steel blades and the handbook states this is *not* dishwasher-safe. The lid and centre cap is dishwasher-safe.Unless you turn off at the wall (as recommended by Smeg) you will have a permanent red LED if the jug is in place, or a permanent flashing red LED if the jug is not positioned.Happy with actual performance so far, mainly smoothies..
