It looks cool and for the price you expect quality, but the actual product is a whole other story
This car arrived as expected, but upon assembly we realised that some of the parts had production faults making them impossible to fit on the car, rendering the car unusable. One of the wheels was unusable and the stickers on the dashboard (gauges and so) kept falling off. We contacted the seller who sent us a new wheel and a whole new dashboard! To replace the stickers. Unfortunately, the stickers on the new dashboard were equally loose, one even fell off as we lifted the part out of the box, and the replacement wheel had the same problem as the original one. We were discussing how to get this car into use, and were even thinking that we could come up with some fixes ourself (like super glue and such) which we discarded as it is a new, very expensive toys so it should really not be necessary to go to these lengths. Upon contact with the seller again, they referred us to their assembly videos on YouTube 3 separate times. When I asked about the expert assembly you can buy with the product, to see if they could maybe take the car back and assemble it for us, they said that they don't offer that and that they are not allowed to send ready assembled cars but that they'd be happy to send us more replacement parts. I asked if they had a way to check that the parts were usable as described in the assembly manual before they sent them to us, to avoid having to send us multiple shipments of parts, which they ignored completely. When we tried to drive the car, which we hadn't tried before because it only had 3 wheels, when realised that the remote couldn't pair with the car. We tried everything, following the instructions in their YouTube video to a t, and still nothing. At this point I started asking about returning the toy and getting a refund. So much time and effort had gone into getting this toy working and it still is nowhere near being useable, I just didn't see a light at the end of the tunnel. However, now they tell me that because I didn't request the return within the first 30 days ( as we were trying new parts and messaging back and forth, they will not accept a return now. I even went through the a-z guarantee at Amazon and they say the same. So now we're stuck with this unusable, expensive toy, that was a gift for my boy from his uncle, and my only option is to keep messaging the seller back and forth and try to get a replacement wheel and remote that actually work. I am not optimistic and we feel tricked out of our return period due to trying to fix the toy first. I would avoid buying this, or only get it if the child is in no rush to use it and you have ample time to try to fix it if something is or goes wrong. Again, if you buy it and something is wrong when you receive it, I would just request a return straight away to avoid grief and hassle. It is not worth the money my brother spent to give his nephew a lovely gift.Update:So, after even more back and forth between us and the seller, we have now (3.5 months later) received yet more spare parts. The new remote actually work now, after trying 3-4 different ways of pairing due to multiple different instructions. It is, however, a horrible design with a battery door that doesn't open fully making it difficult to insert and remove batteries. After repeatedly asking them to send us a new left front wheel that they have actually tested to make sure it fits with a wheel cover, they have now sent us two replacement wheels, one front wheel with exactly the same issue as the original one, and one rear wheel that has exactly the same issue as the original one. Also, they do not have a way to replace the stickers that have fallen off the dashboard, so we are going to have to buy some proper glue and glue them on ourselves. I fear that is going to be what we'll have to do with the wheel as well. Just glue the cover on. Really not the quality you expect for this price and the official Ford license... based on the experience I guess we may have yet another wheel sent to us in a few weeks time, making it more than 4 months since we first complained to get something close to the product image that we can actually use.
