level 3A plates. Plates can stoop up to .44 magnum with decent back face deformation. Edges hold up as well. They fit my plate carrier very well with plenty of space for a trauma pad.The wrap on the plate does provide protection against spawling as well.Recommended

Outstanding product.
This was absolutely worth the money. I'm so beyond thankful to have peace of mind and such a well constructed product. The outer fabric is high quality, and as promised- each plate is roughly 3.5 lbs ( by feel - I didn't weigh it ) As grim as it may be, I bought this as an insert for a child's bookbag. There's no chance to be retro-active in the event something horrible and atrocious were to happenen - ( God forbid ) but being proactive lets me sleep at night. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Not safe
These are not bulletproof armor. Anyone using them as such is in danger. The pictures showing ballistic information are misleading. This is one time that buying generic will get you killed. Research how ballistic protection actually works and it will be clear that these are not going to help you. You might as well tape a phone book to your chest, because any serious bullet will go Right through it anyway.
