Heavy duty, easy to transport
Living in the country is wonderful...until you receive 10 inches of snow that then melts and turns into 6 inches of mud. I saw this product and jumped on it like ducks on a Junebug; only wish I'd had them 2 weeks ago while praying my way through a slop-a-thon. The rubber mats are heavy duty and tied together with steel cable. The cable has a little slack so the mats can be easily rolled up. Each "bar" of the mat is an inch in diameter, so has room to sink down but still provide traction. The mats are enclosed in a canvas carrier that closes with Velcro and has a handy carrying handle. This carrier is a nice touch and makes storage effortless. The set even includes a nice pair of cotton work gloves. I hope I won't need to use these any time soon, but they are giving me a good dose of peace of mind.

Good for minimal use
I finally can write a review after using these in a recent storm and here are my thoughts. These are small and compact, and geared more for a family or individuals who rarely plan to get stuck. For off-road enthusiast, I would look for something that is more stout and better designed. I purposely drove into several feet of snow without activating my 4x4. The mats were easy to deploy, but I found them lacking studs/ spikes which would go down into the ground giving them some type of friction to act as an opposite force of the tire. The snow was wet and heavy, and in a cold environment, the mats wanted to slide. I was able to drive out after multiple attempts to reposition. Then the issue was that the mats were sunk into now freezing snow and were a little difficult to remove. I feel an addition of a strap or pull-cord that could be laid out to the side of the mat, maybe in a safety orange color, would expedite the retrieval of the mat. Overall, as stated, I feel these are better than nothing and would be suited for those that may end up slightly off road or in a random muddy spot once in a while. If you are looking for gear to be used regularly, as true recovery gear, I would find something more suited for the job.

Great to have in your trunk for emergencies! š
I recently got my hands on these 2 Pack Tire Traction Mats, and they are a game-changer! Whether you're stuck in snow, ice, mud, or sand, these mats provide the perfect solution for getting your vehicle back on track. They're compact, lightweight, and easy to store in your car or truck. The size of 8.3X27.4 inches is just right for most vehicles. The set also came with gloves, which I thought was a nice added bonus. These mats are a must-have for off-road adventures or emergency situations. Trust me, they'll save you from a lot of headaches and keep you moving forward. Highly recommended for cars, pick-up trucks, vans, and fleet vehicles! šš

Sweet tool to have
If you live in an area that gets sleet and/or snow, you should definitely have a pair of these. They are perfect for getting pretty much any vehicle unstuck from an icy mess. They are heavy duty, yet very light weight. They roll up nice and small, so you can keep them in your vehicle all winter long, without taking up a bunch of space. The manufacturer even tossed in a pair of gloves for when you have to put the traction mats into use.

Love that these roll up really small
We have a large pickup that doesn't have 4-wheel drive. When the ground is soft, we sometimes get stuck driving it out to the garden to unload soil, mulch, etc. This helps with that. They roll up small so they are easy to store. You unfurl them, stuck them under a tire, and drive out. I could see these being really handy for someone who has a four wheel drive too.

Heavy duty, but needs more attention to detail
I have to disclose that I've not been stuck and had to use these yet. However, here are my impressions. They're heavy, seem well made with no immediate signs of weak points. The "bags" are really just sleeves that leave the sides exposed, which could be annoying if you need to store them after getting out of the mud and don't want mud in your car. Also, one of the sleeves that attach by two points of Velcro was made so that both sides are the soft fabric. The other has soft on one side, with the tacky part on the other, which is how Velcro works. One works...the other doesn't. Might as well rub two socks together hoping they stick. After looking at some other similar products these don't have any sort of spikes that can help drive down into the terrain or offer more traction for your tires. They seem rather short and despite being well made I have to wonder how well they would work in wet/muddy situations. Unfortunately, I don't have much faith in them compared to similar offerings, but if I ever need to use them I'll update. Also note that they do not include a pull along string. So you're going to have to rig that yourself or go back to retrieve them after getting unstuck.
