This coat is right for mild winters, average daytime low in the 40s. I got this coat for my son to wear to school on cold days. His skin is very warm and it takes a lot for him to be cold, still I wanted him to have a coat for colder days. This coat is not too thin or too thick. It says puffer in the description, but it is not overly puffy. It works for protecting from wind and light rain. The feature that I got this coat for is it's ability to fold up and take up little space. My son has to carry all of his school things with him all day in his backpack. He didn't need a bulky coat to carry too. This coat folds and tucks nicely in his already full backpack without adding weight. I would not recommend this coat for colder winters or prolonged cold weather exposure. The coat is water resistant, not waterproof, it will get soaked in a downpour.

This jacket is perfect for my kid to wear to school. It is lightweight and warm. Perfect for foggy mornings. I love that it comes with a small bag where the jacket can be rolled up and stuffed in to make it compact for traveling. Jacket runs true to size for my child.

I purchased this jacket for a trip. We live in the southeast and we’re traveling to the northeast, we needed to be prepared for anything! This jacket fit perfectly, looked nice and helped on the very cold, sometimes wet, and even snowy days that occurred on our trip. The pack bag was perfect for storing the jacket when traveling or on the warm days that also happened on our trip. If you’re looking for a simple solution to needing a jacket, this is the right item for you! I don’t know how it will stand the test of time, and it’s probably not great for real northeast winters, but it was a perfect, affordable solution for my trip.

This is a great lightweight packable jacket for kids. The color green is quite nice; however, this is not slim fit and will accommodate slimmer to huskier children. I don't get freezing temperatures where I live, so I can use this for a winter jacket, but it would not be suitable for a very cold climate. I would say 40 degrees and above this is a nice well priced childrens option.

Love this jacket especially for the price. We live in Florida so it doesn’t get super cold cold but it does get cold for us and this is a perfect lightweight yet warm jacket. Seems to be pretty sturdy and durable and my son loves it.

I love having these jackets for my 9 and 7 old boys for cold temps that don’t require a full snow jacket. They are ideal for 35-50 degree days and I like that I don’t have to worry about them getting torn up or dirty at recess. We’ve had some rips from hard play, but nothing I stress about because of the low price. I’ve bought the next size up several times over to always have one on hand and plan to continue to.
