Have one in every key location!
Edit.I've discovered a better way to use this in a tent. In a small two person tent, put this up against one wall of the tent and it ups the ambient temp of the tent really well. In a small tent, i tie two corners along the angular top edge, and two corners along one edge of the base heat reflector facing inwards, of course. Takes a little while but it works better than laying it underneath your sleeping bag. For the floor, a sleeping pad works better to deal with the cold.---Those tiny mylar blankets are incredible examples of super efficiency in a tiny package. But for repeated use, they just aren't durable enough. That's what makes this blanket so amazing. it's plenty durable to last for several uses. As a heat reflector, there are tons of uses for it. If you're tent camping, you lay this on the tent floor with the reflector side up and you will be much warmer in your sleeping bag since ground temperatures are often colder than other areas when you're in the sleeping bag. For additional warmth, you can fold it over your sleeping bag. It also adds an albeit small additional layer of cushion. If you want to make it more secure, you can tie the grommets together at the foot end and you won't have to worry as much about the folded flap falling back. It's completely waterproof which protects you from the tent walls which often collect condensation. I've only tested this in my backyard in preparation for an upcoming hiking trip, but it works well. They are also great to sit on. Fold it a few times to make it a little more cushiony and sit on it....(^-^) Keeps your butt warm. If you sleep on a cot, the airflow underneath can be really cold. Here again, put it under the sleeping bag. If you have a big ambient temperature problem, it makes a great blanket.Though small for a shelter, this could, in theory, be used as a tarp as well. The grommets at the corners and complete waterproofness and durability make this a much better shelter in a pinch in some ways than a single layer tarp might. It should be in every hiking pack, in every bug-out bag, in your car, and in your home. Save the mylar blankets for smaller hip-carry go bags. Use this for everything else. All in all, I couldn't be happier with this purchase and will get several more.

Great, but could use some minor improvements
This product is great for a lightweight emergency blanket, shelter, ground cover, tarp etc. It fits nicely in my day pack and weighs next to nothing. Even though this is bigger than those cheap mylar emergency blankets, I would gladly take one of these over those because this product is just so much more versatile and its reusable. No, it will not keep you warm in freezing temperatures, but it should keep you dry and a few degrees better off. My only two complaints about the product are first, I really wish it was a bit bigger. Like at least a foot or more longer and a foot or more wider. If you intend to sleep on the ground burrito style with this blanket the current dimensions are too short and too narrow and it keeps sliding off (trust me - I have tried). Note to seller: I would gladly buy this tarp again if you increased the size or came out with an extra large version - like a 10'x8' version would be amazing. Secondly, a few more grommets besides just the four corners would really make it far more functional for tying off in various directions. But overall, as I said, this works great in a pinch and something you should keep in your daypack or car for emergencies, but probably should not be something you rely on to save your life if you can avoid it.

Not bad, could be better. Great for the price.
For a emergency blanket, this product is pretty good over the rest of its kind. It claims to use "Astrolar" fabric instead of Mylar. You won't know the difference except it makes slightly less sound. The added plastic tarp on the outside of the blanket is a nice touch, along with the aluminum and plastic film that is against the layer of Astrolar, according to the box. Unfortunately none of this really helps you obtain much more heat then the competing emergency Mylar blankets, but it is slightly better, less crinkly, and is still washable friendly. Not at all a replacement for a blanket, but nicer than the competition and very affordable. Also includes 4 strap holes on the corner in case you need to secure it over something or want to hook it around yourself. If you are in thick outdoor wear you should be pretty warm with this over you. But be careful if you plan to use this as a replacement for a blanket, its better than mylar but still not the revolutionary invention I was hoping for.Would be neat to see another blanket like this that includes other and better nasa technology for reflecting heat. It's out there and it works really well. Hopefully Grabber can "grab" some of those patents or create their own if they want to improve the concept of a warm, light, thin, washable, all weather blanket.Or maybe turn these into sleeping bags.

Great Product for hiking and camping.
The product arrived very quickly, 2 days after placing the order. It was great quality and exactly as I expected. It is perfect for my needs as I do a lot of day hikes and is Light weight and reusable. It can be folded to a small size to fit in a day pack. The eyelets in the corners allow it to be suspended as an emergency shelter and is sturdy enough to be used as a ground sheet. It is quite warm when used as a blanket and is windproof.Overall I am very happy with the product.

Okay but thinner than I expected
Arrived today. Package was crushed. Looked like it was stomped on by an elephant. Mat had round depression that looked like it was stood on. Box was ripped both ends item was protruding. Maybe it was a return? I don't know. The mat is okay. Very thin though. Certainly not as good at the hype. Still, it was thicker a regular space blanket. But also 5 x more expensive. Disappointed as poorly packaged and damaged in transit. I would not buy this item again. Nothing special. Lost 1.5 stars for the overall ordinary quality. And lost another 1.5 stars because of the damage. Fail Amazon. Not happy.
