Embroidery Stand with Embroidery Kits
A nice addition if you are an embroiderer.

Effort required to love
This stand has a lot of annoying qualities. A little improvement would make it a 5-star stand. However, once you resolve the annoying attributes or learn to deal with them, this is actually quite a nice and useful stand. There are no directions with this. It's a jumble of parts, and, at least to me, it's not intuitive how to put it together. Parts that don't go together are attached. Fortunately, there's a basic diagram on this listing that sort of shows how to put it together. It's actually simple. The screwdriver/allen wrench included doesn't really fit the screws, and in order to adjust the arm, you really have to loosen the screws each time. If the screws aren't completely tightened, it wiggles, which is not okay. The whole contraption is unstable upon assembly. It just shakes. However, give it a chance. Once I had installed the hoop, it somehow balanced it, and the whole thing was much more stable. While doing embroidery on it, it didn't shake at all.Using this to do embroidery was actually quite nice. It held the piece closer to my eyes than I would normally work, so nearsighted me could see better. My hand also didn't cramp up from holding it, and I had more mobility to hold threads. I like how I could keep the basic tools in the groove of the stand. I can't tell you how often I misplace a needle threader or even scissors as I'm working. Angling the hoop was pretty easy, and it does not require a screwdriver. The wood material is nice to work with and lightweight. I was surprised how well it actually worked given how flimsy it felt initially and how difficult it was to configure. It also comes with three kits. The kits aren't the most artistically pleasing kits ever, but they are actually pretty nice kits to work with. They use a few basic stitches, but they aren't overly simple. The floss is actually quite nice to work with with vibrant colors and a decent quality. It comes with tools that are a bit nicer than standard kits too. Nice scissors and stitch puller. The needle threader is basic, but works. The hoop is solid and nicely stiff, but it is plastic. It holds the fabric super tight. The fabric is printed with (it says) water soluble, dark blue dye. It's easy to see and has very crisp lines that are easy to follow. The guide and instructions are decent, but a beginner might need to study up on the stitches somewhat because the processes are not explained the best.I am actually quite pleased with this overall. However, I think they could improve the quality control and ease of assembly and use to make this a stellar product. I will get quite a bit of use out of this.

Wishy washy on this
I like this stand. i like that it holds my work and prevents me from pushing my fabric out of the hoop as i tend to do when I'm holding it. That being said, I wish it included instructions and folded down more compactly. if i had a dedicated stitching space I think this would be better. The included kits are nice and include everything that you would need to complete a project

Unhappy!!!
Thus came with NO instructions!! I watched a video to try to put it together. I think this was a returned item because one of the screws was stripped. The screws and other parts were not in bags. I’ve tried but it is unusable as is. I plan to return it as soon as I find out how to make a return.

No Complaints Here
At this price--including 3 embroidery kits--this is a very nice embroidery stand. I didn't have any trouble putting this together, unlike the other reviewers. I noticed there wasn't an instruction manual, so I went to the product page and right there was a video showing how to put it together. Easy peasy. Before I even did that I had it halfway figured out on my own. Maybe I'm more mechanically inclined than most folks. I didn't expect this to have a fancy hoop or fancy kits, given that the main thing is the stand itself, which is clever and nicely made. I didn't find any rough edges. Nothing was broken. This is a great design--easy to fold up and put away in a small space. I'm super tall so I do wish that the legs were taller, but otherwise I think it's perfect. Recommended.

Works great, perfect for working at a table
This little helper for embroidery is nicely made, with no rough edges or awkward protrusions that interfered with my ability to work. The fabric holds nicely in the hoop and stays taut. It is easy to put together and stays together well. The basic tools that come with it are a nice extra. It was a little bit of an adjustment to try to work on this sitting in a chair and working on your lap. It works much better if you are seated at a table or tray table, and it's nice that you can walk a way from it without having to find a clean place to put down your work. It was helpful for someone I was teaching to do counted cross stitch, as they were free to use both hands and didn't have to try to wrangle the hoop at the same time.

Great idea poorly made
The stand is a fantastic design, and really should have been thought of years ago. That said it arrived without assembly instructions and the parts were poorly made. The two pieces that form the base are different colors, and several pieces had to have rough areas sanded to keep from hanging up or marring thread. Once my husband got the thing assembled using pics off the product page, we noticed the base is not level. So he added felt strips to even it up. Since the stand is the main part of the purchase (embroidery kits alone are plentiful on Amazon) I gave it three stars. The kits appear complete, and the printing on the fabric is well done and easy to see. The really good thing about these kits is the thread already being separated, and mounded on cards ready to sew. I was use to buying 50 or 60 dollar kits, and then having to sort out a tangled mass of threads, all very close in shade. The little tools enclosed are very fragile, and apt to break if frustration is incurred. But they are the least of the kit so really not a problem.Overall the stand works a treat now that it's been fixed and assembled. Not real attractive due to different shades in separate pieces. But it's a matter of form over function, if it works for you then it works. The stand weights three pounds and is fairly easy to handle. Storage due to odd shape will be a little more difficult.

Parts do not fit together
The stand is impossible to assemble because parts do not fit together. The vertical parts are too large to fit in the grooves. The knobs on the sides cannot be screwn on . The wood looks so nice but it just doesn't work at all
