A great looking replica. Very realistic but doesn't scare away the birds so far.
I thought the "Qualirey Bird Scarecrow Fake Horned Eagle Decoy to Scare Birds Away Plastic Bird Deterrent Devices Scarecrow Eagle Falcon Decoy for Garden Protectors Deterrent Eagle Garden Decor" may work to keep the squirrels and chip monks from digging in our vegetable garden. It's a standard type blow mold plastic figure thats nicely painted. However it looked nothing like a horned eagle when I looked them up on Google. I asked Google what bird looks like a bald eagle with a black eye stripe and got pictures of 3 yr old bald eagles! Apparently the eye stripe is one of the last parts of their faces to turn white giving some of them a dark brown or black looking eye stripe for a while. He looks real enough but so far he doesn't frighten off anything much, likely because he's only a foot tall where an adult bald eagle stands around 2½ to 3 ft. My neighbor did a full head turn around double take while on his his garden tractor when he saw it for the first time though. I tried mounting him on a short piece of broonstick and stuck it in the vegetable patch. I think he did keep the chip monks at bay at least until my better half had other ideas. I definately saw robins, song sparrows and eastern fly-catchers frequently perching on him too 🤷♂️.Then my whimsical wife found him. I had made a chopping block some months back out of an unusual shaped log by cutting a "V" in it with the chain saw to hold logs in place for splitting. My wife saw a faint face on it and claimed it before I had an opportunity to object. It has 3 short stumps in a triangle at the bottom that allows it to stand up quite stablely on it's own. The V is the mouth and 2 knots above it look like asymmetrical eyes. She named him Croot - a cousin from the wrong side of the family tree that Groot never talks about. 🤔Well Croot was lonely standing out in the yard by himself all day and she insisted he needed company. So I took out the piece of broom stick & put some sand in the eagle so he could perch atop Croot who was thrilled to have his long lost constant friend and companion, "Creegle" back with him. Several of our neighbor's young children love the story and stop by to visit with Croot & Creegle every now & then so they don't get lonely anymore. So we reccomend this little eagle somewhat as a Scarecrow but more so as a great piece of whimsy that can make kids smile.👍👍👍👍

This guy is scary! Love him!
Let me say first, I love the birds, I feed them everyday multiple times a day and I even buy bags of peanuts to put out everyday.... But, I just put up a carport for my RV and I really don't need the birds nesting on top of my roof or sitting on the rafters and pooping all over my RV!So enter this scary guy! We named him "Hawky"! I know he's a horned eagle, but I have a parrot and she recognizes his stance as being a hawk, so the name stuck. And all the birds are scared of hawks because they are natural predators to birds and squirrels. This horned eagle is a very good quality decoy. It's made of lightweight plastic with good painting so it looks real. The eyes are shiny and look very real too. That's the first thing my parrot noticed about him, his eyes! There is a plug on the bottom where you can fill him with sand or perch him on a broomstick in the ground to protect your garden. My Hawky will live in the top of my carport on a rafter in a pine needle nest. That should continuously scare the crap out of all the birds so they don't hang out in there. Great product, and just what I needed! Recommended.

Overpriced, but does look pretty real from a distance....
Needed to find a way to keep the rodents and other pesky birds away from our garden. Giving this a shot.My neighbors swear by these things, so I figured I'd give it a shot. For the price, I think there might be better options, as this is just a plastic bird. It does have an access on the bottom to fill with dirt or rocks to weigh it down. I put water in it for fun to see if it would hold, and it leaked in 5 different spots. So I assume that is not for water....I ended up mounting a bracket to the base, and affixed it to a post in my garden. Looks pretty good out there at the end of the day, but I guess I was expecting a little better quality for the price.Giving it 3 stars, mostly for price and the cheapness of the item. The artwork/paint is pretty good, but it just feels like those old Christmas decorations of the 70's/80's. Hopefully it works.

Love him! Eagle Eye on the job to protect every chicken! lol
This eagle is a good size - smaller than life-size - about a foot tall. It is light weight and has an opening on the bottom - you could fill with sand, but I have round pipes for my fence posts, so I will be putting a rod into the pipe and placing the owl over the rod. I might have to affix in some way so the rod cannot spin - I won't know until I actually do it (it's raining, lol). But I like this owl, there were no strange smells. I feel the price is a little high (it's molded plastic), but the painting is well done.I think this guy is going to save a lot of chicken lives! lol

Scarecrow Falcon Keeps Birds Away
The birds have been raiding my strawberries, nibbling them and leaving me what’s left. We have a raised bed garden and it is so frustrating to fight the birds. This bird statue is keeping them away for now. I am moving the falcon around so the birds think it’s real. I filled the bottom with small rocks so that it stays stable. If you have a similar situation I can recommend this fake bird as a no harm solution.

A Scarecrow That’s a Horned Eagle! My Swiss Chard is Uneaten!
This fairly realistic-looking eagle designed to scare off unwanted critters from your garden or porch seems like it will last a long time. Right now it’s sitting next to my Swiss Chard, and the plants seem to be growing quite well. That’s a welcome change because they were quite eaten before! It won’t scare me away from harvesting the Swiss Chard as I think it quite cute.I used small stones filling (some of) the body cavity to keep the eagle in place. You can also raise it up on a pole if you wish. I understand that you can screw it down on a wood board if you wish as well (though I didn’t pay any attention to that feature.

Nice quality plastic eagle
I got this because I’ve been having trouble with all the critters in my vegetable garden. This is a nice quality plastic eagle “scarecrow”. It looks realistic and I’m hoping it will even keep groundhogs away.

Looks good guarding the windmill.
Birds have for months attacked my gnomes on my windmill and looking forward to this keeping the birds away. It looks good the Eagle with an old time American windmill.
