They Work Well—Easy to Use
I ordered these QL-LINRUN Emergency Stop Button Switches to serve as a handy emergency cut-off for our model train layout. Having a clearly visible and easily accessible switch means we can quickly cut power if there's a potential short on the track, helping to protect our valuable Digital Command and Control (DCC) system. It's a simple step that adds extra safety and peace of mind. The switches are simple to install and operate. Each switch has two contact sets, with one set being open and the other closed. You press the button to open the circuit and turn it clockwise to close it. They are not rated for wet environments. My only concern is that the large button hides the "Emergency Stop" words on the yellow button guard. Conclusion: This item met my expectations, and according to my rating system, it earns four stars. Had the 'Emergency Stop' lettering on the button guard been visible, I would have given five stars. I hope you found this helpful. Thanks for reading!

These buttons stand out to clearly delineate start and stop functions on projects..
I picked up this set of emergency stop button switches for a DIY robot lawn mower project and they've worked exactly as expected. The buttons feel solid with a distinct, firm click when pressed, with one being NO and the other being NC. The build quality is decent for general workshop or low-voltage applications, and the included green push button makes it easy to set up a simple start/stop style interface. Installation was straightforward—the mounting threads have a plastic nut that hold the button in place. I thought it would be waterproof, but it apparently is not without an enclosure. They do feel robust enough for occasional use. It is important for robotic projects to have some clear way to stop them until the functions are proven out for safety purposes.Bottom Line: These push button switches are a practical, affordable solution for anyone setting up a basic control circuit or safety stop system.
