Good value and quality
Purchased with safety harness for use with a rental lift. Worked as expected. Fortunately, did not test in emergency condition!

Very heavy duty!
I like to climb trees and cut limbs myself instead of paying somebody, so this is a nice little safety extra. The adjustable length will help on different size trees, and the safety hooks won't unhook unless I want them to. Definitely worth it for that extra bit of safety.

Oversized hooks and straps you can trust your life to.
Very high quality safety lanyard from a company I trust. I own three additional TRSMIMA products with this one being the fourth, and all of them are up to the high standards I have come to expect from TRSMIMA especially seeing as I'm trusting my life to the quality of their equipment.Everything about this lanyard screams quality and safety and I will happily trust my life to it. It's exactly as pictured with oversized hooks and straps.

TT TRSMIMA Tree Climbing Safety Lanyard - 4ft to 6ft Adjustable Strap with Double Rebar Hook
This safety strap comes in a clear ziplock, and a black drawstring bag inside that. The drawstring bag works to keep the strap from getting tangled, but the bag material feels a little on the thin side for holding this strap with its substantial metal hooks. The actual strap and its hooks look and feel like professional-grade equipment. There is a long label attached, stating its ANSI certification and manufacture date (the one I got in August 2024 was manufactured in July 2024), protected under a velcro-closed cover. The company's slogan, printed on both the label cover and on the bag, could've been translated a little better ("manufactured to comely"??).It is designed to use with a professional safety harness (not included) that has two D-rings at waist level. I got a harness a while ago, hoping to use it for more secure positioning on ladders, but it only came with a long lanyard designed to clip onto the attachment point on the back of the harness and then connect to scaffolding or roofing safety anchors. This climbing strap is the perfect harness addition for my intended use. The length adjusts readily by sliding the buckle.

Seems adequate to keep you from smacking the ground
For obvious reasons I'm not going to fully test this and I hope I never have to, but even as a homeowner, who used to get up on stuff all the time without protection, after having a union job that pounded safety training into us all the time, I'm much more knowledgeable and aware of what could happen and how to prevent it. As such, I've been gathering safety items for working around my house in some of the things that require being off ground. This passes visual inspection and I feel confident using it. Just make sure you attach it properly to a secure place and the length is right so you don't hit ground before you run out of strap!

RETURNED – Dangerous False Label – NOT OSHA COMPLIANT
RETURNED – Dangerous False Label – NOT OSHA COMPLIANTI am a union Iron Worker. I know about working at heights being OSHA Compliant with certified equipment. This double end hook Safety Lanyard IS NOT labeled correctly having dangerous false information. If an OSHA inspector found this on a job site he would immediately issue a Cease Work Order, and close down the job site until a hearing was convened where huge fines would be levied and mandatory safety training initiated. Please see the attached photograph of the sewn on label with the dangerous false information quoting verbatim, “Fall Protection Safety Lanyard”. This Lanyard IS NOT a “Fall Protection” system including an injury preventing shock absorber. The website description is actually correct stating that this Safety Lanyard is NOT for Fall Protection quoting verbatim, “NOT FEATURE SHOCK ABSORPTION:Made of 100% polyester webbing safety lanyard This restraint lanyard is not for fall protection and does not feature shock absorber.”Before you work at heights you need to be properly trained in how to use certified equipment. If you do not know the difference between the two terms: 1) Fall Prevention; and, 2) Fall Protection, then you must not work at heights or you will injure, or kill yourself, or some innocent bystander you fall on.
